And Puel 😉 ........................................... 2013/14 Pochettino 8th 2014/15 Koeman 7th 2015/16 Koeman 6th 2016/17 Puel 8th

That is not true! 😇 Lawrie McMenemy between 1979 and 1985 had Saints finish... 8th, 6th, 7th, 12th, 2nd, 5th in a 22 team league. So over 6 years from 1979 to 1985 Saints were in the top half 5 times and the only time they weren't, they finished outside the top half on goal difference only. Pochettino, Koeman & Puel also had Saints finished 8th, 7th, 6th & 8th in the Premier League from 2013 to 2017.

So you prefer plucked out of the air opinions that Redmond isn't making a difference in the final third vs facts? 🤔

I have done no such thing. All I did was ask a question... which you didn't answer!

Simeu was not talked about as being in the first team by Hasenhuttl this season. Thierry Small has been talked about by Hasenhuttl in that manner... “We have already signed a player this summer with good experience at left-back in Romain Perraud, and Thierry’s arrival now gives us a very good balance and a strong additional option in that position, and this is encouraging that we now have this on both sides of our defence.” https://www.southamptonfc.com/news/2021-08-24/announcement-thierry-small-everton-southampton-transfer

Why do you think he left Everton to join Saints? What do you think Saints told him and his agent in the summer? It wasn't to sit in our B team, like he would be if still at Everton. Hasenhuttl talked about him in terms of the 1st team... “We have already signed a player this summer with good experience at left-back in Romain Perraud, and Thierry’s arrival now gives us a very good balance and a strong additional option in that position, and this is encouraging that we now have this on both sides of our defence.”

Why would you assume that? Why do you think he left Everton to join Saints? He did not have a pre-season which is why he has been in the under 23s recently for gametime, but I very much doubt Saints will sign another left back and block the pathway they likely used to convince Small to leave Everton for.

To their credit this simple improvised chant is pretty amusing to watch. Gallows humour from those blue few still in the stadium when 4-0 down...

Perraud 😇
