How have you come to that conclusion about this story? Would be a very strange one to just make up. It is very different from making up a transfer rumour.

Saints haven't spent that. It was £300k, rising to £1m. If he leaves he won't ever meet the conditions for the fee to reach £1m as they are likely to be for 1st team related achievements.

If he signed for Saints on a permanent deal I think it would be likely he'd get a big wage increase compared to his current Chelsea deal. A first team regular at Saints would earn more than the position Broja was at Chelsea at the time of his new deal in the summer.

Instead of who? Ward-Prowse or Romeu? McGinn wouldn't play in the Romeu role... so his competition is Ward-Prowse and I wouldn't be playing McGinn rather than Ward-Prowse.
