  1. It is a forum... forums for discussion not just a list of statements. You said something, all I did was ask for clarification. It wasn't an unreasonable request. Puzzling why you are reticent to explaining.
  2. Why can't you explain it? It isn't an unreasonable question. One wants equality for black people, the other wants to reduce knife crime. So where is the 'being at odds with each other'?
  3. Why do you think they are 'at odds with each other'?
  4. Why do you think they are 'at odds with each other'?
  5. Is it inconceivable they had Covid cases in the time since the game?
  6. 15!? 😲 Last season that would have made him the joint 7th top scorer in the Premier League... 1 Harry Kane Tottenham Hotspur 23 2 Mohamed Salah Liverpool 22 3 Bruno Fernandes Manchester United 18 4 Patrick Bamford Leeds United 17 Son Heung-min Tottenham Hotspur 6 Dominic Calvert-Lewin Everton 16 7 Jamie Vardy Leicester City 15
  7. If Digne goes to Villa, Villa also need backup left backs... so Targett can be that for them. Saints have 5 first team full backs already, I don't see Targett coming back. Targett also cost Villa a fee rising to £17m, I doubt we'd spend that much on a backup.
  8. I haven't completely written him off, just passing comment on him as he is at the moment.
  9. The day you become me... the world ends!
  10. I'm talking about when he has the ball it is easy to take it back off him. That is a problem for any player regardless of position or how many teammates are on the pitch. I hope things change, but at the moment he offers very little in a positive sense. He shoots at every opportunity even when a pass is the better option, his dribbling runs into dead ends and his hold up play is poor. He is really struggling. Of course things may click and he'll turn it round, but unlike Che Adams who at least had good link up play when he first joined even though things weren't going for him in front of goal.
  11. Do you think he isn't constantly being outmuscled and brushed off the ball? It has been like that all season, playing with 10 men or out wide doesn't affect it.
  12. Player value is separate from club value.

  14. Yep, every cup draw I want Saints to play the weakest possible opponent at St Mary's for the best chance of progressing.
  15. Playing out of position isn't an excuse for constantly being outmuscled and brushed off the ball.
  16. Regardless of him playing wide or centrally, in an eleven man team or with ten men... throughout this season so far he is too easily overpowered and can't retain possession. At least when Che Adams was adapting to the Premier League his hold up play was good from day one and he wasn't brushed off the ball. Hopefully Armstrong improves, but it isn't looking promising as things currently stand.
  17. I did not say he was.
  18. You didn't see what happened today then. Pulling on the shoulder or arm is a foul, today's incident was not a pull. His hand brushed his shoulder with no force.
  19. The suspension for 5 yellow cards means Walker-Peters is suspended only for Premier League games, not FA Cup games. He missed today because he has Covid, not through suspension. He is suspended vs Brentford on Tuesday.
  20. I doubt we'll be signing a 4th natural right back. We'd still have Walker-Peters, Valery and Ward-Prowse until Livramento is back. What happens to the 4th right back when Livramento is back?
  21. A hand brushing a shoulder is not a foul. There was barely any contact, let alone enough to put off balance a grown man and make him fall over whilst running.
  22. Still time to turn things around, but he does look out of his depth at the moment.
  23. The Liverpool goal at Anfield in 2017 was not a tie winning goal. We were already going through at that point.
  24. If we don't have any of Livramento, Walker-Peters or Valery... I'd be tempted to play Diallo at right back rather than Ward-Prowse or Stephens. Diallo would still give us some attacking threat and pace in fullback areas that we'd miss if Ward-Prowse or Stephens were there and it would keep Ward-Prowsein his best position. I know shoe horning Diallo there isn't ideal either.
  25. Tonight was Shane Long's best Southampton game since 2016! 😇
