I said a central defence of Bednarek and Salisu are fine for first choice. I did not say the whole defence and goalkeeper are fine for first choice. McCarthy is a liability and Bednarek and Salisu were not playing together today.

Not playing one game doesn't mean he isn't first choice. Do you think Walker-Peters and Atmstrong not starting means the aren't first choice for the entire season?
