Why he makes the interceptions is irrelevant when my post was a counter to a claim he doesn't defend. The most successful interceptions by a defender in the league shows one defensive skill he is good at.

Technically we didn't in terms of avoiding relegation. We sprinted past the point total to avoid relegation and had enough points to be safe on 4th January. It is after that we were limping! ๐๐ -

It is a quote from the linked article, not me saying it directly. -

Do interceptions not count as a type of defending? ๐ค Doing the most successfully in the Premier League of any defender is a good thing for him isn't it? He was 22 ahead of 2nd place Ben White!

"Liverpool defender Nat Phillips is a reported transfer target but is not thought to be an option Saints are considering at this present time. Former Liverpool loanee Ozan Kabak, free agent Gary Cahill and Marseille defender Duje Caleta-Car are amongst the players thought to be available to the club this summer - but it is expected that Caleta-Car may command a fee outside of the club's price range."

Bednarek is not remotely as bad as some on this forum make out. I'd be happy with him and Salisu as a 1st choice pairing.

Salisu and Bednarek are fine for what we need as 1st choice.
-
A 3rd/4th choice centre back isn't going to be the difference between staying up and going down.
-
Random Spurs fans spouting rumours isn't particularly credible as a source. Especially as PL rules don't allow for swap seals and both those players being not particularly great.

Makes sense now. Previously was too small to make out on my phone! ๐

@Lord Duckhunter should take a look at his avatar! What is going on there!?

Yes he has, he played vs Fulham.

Hasenhuttl confirmed today Ward-Prowse will be available to play vs Everton.

I struggle to see how that would help us. -

No it doesnโt. He was back in full training on Tuesday getting ready for the Everton game with a strapped up knee due to his injury.
