Maybe they are all white but a red one got left in the wash.

He has been at Saints for 10 years! When will you learn his name? 😁😇 I'd be surprised if Bednarek and Adams don't start. Perraud, Diallo and Salisu aren't untested youngsters. They are all in their 20s and have seasons under their belts. If that applies to anyone in the line-up it would be Nathan Tella.
-
Unless you state the level you are comparing him with that doesn't work as a definition. If he is an average centre back for the entire Premier League, then that is fine, as a 10th place season would be a very good outcome for Saints.
-
No it doesn't. Lots of football fans use 'average' as a description, but are far too vague as to what it means.

Jannik Vestergaard - Official: Signs for Leicester
Matthew Le God replied to ChiefScummer's topic in The Saints
Not at all. Like nothing in this song was ironic... -
What does that actually mean when used as a description of a footballer? 🤔

Bednarek is absolutely fine as first choice for a team looking to finish about 10th at best, he is an established international and gets a lot of unfair criticism on this forum. I'd be surprised if the club looked to demote him to the bench this summer.
-
No we wouldn't. You only really need 4 senior centre backs. We'd have Salisu and Bednarek as first choice, Stephens as back up and then need another player. Plus have the likes of Simeu in the under 23 team.
-
Why are you assuming this is the Ings replacement? The Athletic are saying the club want to sign 2 strikers... one young one to develop and then another more established player.
-
Blackburn's position regarding Armstrong gets more difficult as time progresses. I doubt they want to lose him for £0 next summer.
-
Born in Winchester as his dad was playing for Saints at the time.
-
I doubt it, he is not remotely good enough to be in our first team. A 22 year old striker released by Spurs after not scoring in 3 loan deals in League 1 or the Scottish Championship.
-
He does not fall into the category of "deal for an academy player from a top side — similar to full-back Tino Livramento". He is out of contract, not from a top academy and not good enough to go straight into our 1st team. If he signs it'll be to play in our B team.
-
On a season loan in League 1. https://www.mkdons.com/news/2021/july/troy-parrott-joins-on-loan Plus is not good enough to be around our first team like Livramento is.

Is the Premier League too rich for us?
Matthew Le God replied to Lallana's Left Peg's topic in The Saints
No chance, he is dreadful. Slow, unable to beat a player and is unaware of what is around him. -
No it isn't. Getting relegated in one of his three seasons would be lower. Kept us up 3 times, despite having little room for manoeuvre in the transfer market. To sack him for the 9-0s is reactionary.
-
It leaves you screwed financially if the sale of your player collapses after you have signed a replacement.

It would be disastrous for Saints financially. The TV deal for the remaining clubs would be tiny in comparison to the current PL deal.
-
Contradict yourself a little there. Last season... Adams 9 PL goals Ings 12 PL goals This season you say you think Adams might score 12 to 15 goals. Which is more than Ings did last season.
-
True, but that is a much lower standard than a PL game.
-
5 goals in 38 Premier League games suggests otherwise.
