It is not 'according to the BBC'. The BBC gossip page merely lists rumours from other websites. It is not the BBC making the claim. https://www.football.london/arsenal-fc/transfer-news/arsenal-armando-broja-transfer-martinelli-23085209?_ga=2.264847820.276700759.1644786310-2108179463.1643299921

Perhaps Spurs are catchable 😁

Swap deals are extremely rare.

I doubt we'll be catching West Ham or Spurs, so probably better if they both win vs Leicester & Wolves.

Armstrong missing a couple of chances doesn't = a bad game He did a huge amount of good work both offensively and defensively. Missing a chance or two doesn't outweigh that.

When Che Adams was struggling for goals at the start of his time at Saints, his build up play and all round game was good. We aren't getting that from Adam Armstrong, who is both lacking goals and anything else in terms of impact at this level. Armstrong has now been overtaken in the pecking order by a player 4 years younger than him who also had not played at PL level before this season. Broja at 20 years old didn't require a season to get upto speed in the PL after having only experienced 1st team football at a lower level in the Netherlands.

1) Big difference between Spurs to Man Utd preparation vs Man Utd to Everton preparation is it was Wednesday to Saturday for the former and now it is Saturday to Saturday. 2) It isn't a myth. Of course fatigue is an issue if you play games in quick succession.

He may have played in midfield tonight...

Saints should play this song in the pre-match build up...

1) Winning something is not a distant dream... in the last five years Saints have played in a League Cup final and two FA Cup semi finals. It is not unreasonable to think Saints could do so again in the near future. It certainly isn't a distant dream. 2) The majority of our players were not signed by Hasenhuttl. They were signed by managers who weren't even here for the 2.5 years this story says Hasenhuttl plans to stay for on top of his current time at Saints!

Because they are highly paid, want to win something and will still be contracted to the club after the manager leaves.

You've taken my original post completely out of context of the post it was a reply to.

It isn't absurd at all. See below...

He is a multi millionaire already, he doesn't need the money.

Pompey?

You are wrong, as it is already in the rules and has been since 2016! It is just inconsistently applied... https://www.premierleague.com/news/65240 Yellow cards will be issued to players who: - Show visibly disrespectful behaviour to any match official - Respond aggressively to decisions - Confront an official face to face - Run towards an official to contest a decision
-
We do have a Saints fan in Downing Street already...

Just because something works and others do it... doesn't mean you should do it.
-
Arguing with and confronting officials is not a good thing and not something to be applauded.

A player 5 yards offside and clearly touching the ball is not going to be missed by VAR. Our keeper shouting at the referee's assistant made no difference.
-
What Caballero did after the ball went in the net was irrelevant. VAR was in use yesterday and the Coventry player was clearly offside, there was no chance it was going to stand.
-
My point still stands even if he meant it that way. The Livramento deal is not the same as a loan as there is no obligation for him to return to Chelsea as there would be if he was loaned to us.
-
Both of those statements are not true. There is no obligation for Chelsea to buy him back, plus even if they do it sees Saints making a huge profit on him which would not be the case if it was a loan.
