  1. As Hasenhuttl has openly confirmed McCarthy is first choice, it isn't a surprise he starts league games.
  2. Currently only one teenager in our starting line-up. He isn't remotely out of place in the Premier League. He just had a man of the match performance in a draw vs Man Utd. Certainly beats this... http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_div_1/7815964.stm
  3. Signing Chelsea's academy player of the season and signing Everton's youngest ever player who they desperately wanted to keep is a bit different to having Lloyd James and Simon Gillet trying to keep us up in the Championship.
  4. 0-3 to Saints then? Why does Mike Dean being on VAR need to mean he screws Saints over? He might screw Newcastle instead!
  5. He is number 4 as expected...
  6. Sometimes winger, sometimes fullback. You can even see him playing both positions in all the YouTube footage, he is wearing number 7 when in midfield and 2 as a fullback.
  7. Livramento played in midfield throughout his time at Chelsea.
  8. Ryan Christie would have been a better use of the money. Lower wages, 6 years younger and a low transfer fee as his contract expires soon.
  9. Even if we didn't win with him there, it doesn't mean he didn't play well.
  10. The article has now been edited to say 'at least £40m'.
  11. It isn't a mistake if that is the only way we could get him. Saints have benefited from his very low purchase price. He is clearly an absolute bargain at £5m, that is far below his worth. So a £20m profit for him isn't bad.
  12. That was from a wind up Twitter account. It also linked Saints with signing Antoine Griezmann.
  13. That makes me over qualified!
  14. He has an extremely highly PA on FM
  15. Steve Bruce press conference... https://www.nufc.co.uk/nufc-tv/latest-videos/bruce-pre-southampton-h-media-briefing-21-22/
  16. At 18 years old he has made it into the England under 21 squad...
  17. FM is a simulation not an arcade game, so those things are also hard to do on the game.
  18. As we now have... - Livramento - Perraud - Small - Walker-Peters - Valery We don't need any central midfielder to also cover fullback like we needed last season. So any new player can be a central midfield specialist rather than a jack of all trades.
  19. No I wouldn't. Performing at league level is what is relevant.
  20. I think you watch different games to the rest of us. Sure we'd prefer him in the 'number 10 role', but he has done a good job filling in in the 'number 6' role.
