It is 2025, not 1975. Player roles don't work like that.
-
When was that? Some managers have played him centrally, but never in a target man role.

Appears they really want Thomas Frank and are getting close...
-
They couldn't afford him. He cost us £18m under a year ago, no need to make a big loss on him and even after relegation wage drops his wages would be big for Rangers. Plus he is very good at the level we are playing next season.

A lot more than just missing out on Delap did that!

Are you a time traveller from the 1970s?

It isn't a kit design that was used in the 1975/76 season, so doesn't work as a FA Cup winning tribute kit. It would be like using the 2024/25 '12 point' Premier League kit design as a template for a 2023/24 Championship promotion kit tribute.

The collar on the home shirt looks odd. Might be due to the poor photo quality and it really is the shirt, but possibly could it be a sign of photoshopping or AI?

Aaron Ramsdale - Official: Loaned to Newcastle
Matthew Le God replied to Saint Fan CaM's topic in The Saints
That is nonsense. -
That was not the home kit in the FA Cup winning season. This was the home kit, as seen in FA Cup semi final vs Palace. 1974/75 and 1975/76 seasons 1976/77 season

Nathan Jones - "I grew up in the Rhondda valley where all my mates were Cardiff fans. I had the chance to sign for Bristol City or Cardiff and I signed for Cardiff. I worked on the turnstiles when I was an apprentice and then rushed and watched all the games. I love Cardiff City."

I don’t think it is down to money. Sport Republic spent £260m+ over the last two PL seasons. The funds were there, but the recruitment decisions were largely dreadful. If we'd had someone competent spending that money it would have made a big difference.

Perhaps he should sign a new contract with a bigger wage then!
-
Minus his wages for a year

Has he been quoting me?

It was also very early in his time at RC Lens. He had only had a few weeks training them at that point.

It was only a friendly, but Will Still knows how to comfortably beat Leicester City... 😉 Something Russell Martin struggled with!

60 year anniversary - 1965/66 2nd tier promotion kit for the home kit 50 year anniversary - 1975/76 Yellow FA Cup winners kit for the away kit 140 year anniversary- 1885/86 Sash kit for third kit

Puma have recreated Port Vale's kit from the 1953/54 season for their 150 year anniversary. It is remaining sponsorless. Saints have their 140 year anniversary next season. Would be nice if Puma could do similar for us! The 1965/66 kit might be a good option. Promotion from the 2nd tier 60 years ago.

Armstrong is under contract until 2027.

Not much of a surprise as a lot will be Catholic. Not a popular thing to be at Ibrox.

See the bit in bold.
