  1. It was all four-nothing. Pompey are a long term tinpot lower league team (vast majority of the last 60 years!) and are currently in the 3rd tier! Bizarrely Pompey fans harp on about that 2004/05 game and the 11/12 game as if they got us relegated and stopped us winning the league. Neither of those things are true. Saints didn't win the 2012 league largely because they lost to Reading late in the season, the 2004/05 game didn't get Saints relegated, Saints were still in a position to potentially stay up on the last game of the season. Ports-myths!
  2. Exodus 20:17
  3. How religious schisms happen ^ Another good one is the cat people in Red Dwarf, when they split the religion in two because they couldn't agree which colour hats to wear...

  5. Will they be more likely than Turkish and Raging Bull to answer the questions about Noah's ark and Adam/Eve they keeping ignoring?
  6. I said 'good evidence', not 'evidence'. Good evidence is testable and falsifiable. I think you may be confusing Trust vs Faith - Trust is proportional to the evidence - Faith is inversely proportional If you had evidence you would not use faith, you'd have a degree of trust proportional to the evidence. Here is the key question - Is there any position you can not take on faith? I can disprove the Bible, it is contradictory throughout so is not 100% accurate.
  7. I quoted it in post #1331.
  8. 1) What are you claiming I've taken out of context? 2) Still waiting for you to answer the question about Noah's flood!
  9. He doesn't give Zeefuik... [video=youtube;zBR5CpE-mBg]
  10. You have taken it out of context when in combination with other posts.
  11. You have misquoted me.
  12. How is this relevant?
  13. It is not wrong, because knowledge is a subset of belief. You have beliefs and these beliefs can be supported by evidence/knowledge. That is what makes it a subset. Do you believe in regard to god everyone is either an...? i) agnostic atheist ii) gnostic atheist iii) agnostic theist iv) gnostic theist
  14. In that context I would be a agnostic theist in the top right of the diagram. I believe it is possible, but don't know it is true.
  15. Don't let facts get in the way of egg imagining what he thinks I've said rather than what I actually said!
  16. No I haven't. I may have said I haven't seen any evidence that supports the Bible, but that is not the same thing. If you can explain how a global flood that killed millions is the act of a 100% kind and loving god I'd love to hear it. The babies he killed in that story were entirely innocent and did not deserve death. It is not kind and loving to kill them.
  17. - Faith is without evidence - Belief can be supported by evidence (hence why knowledge is a subset) If you have good evidence you don't need faith... you'd use the evidence!
  18. That is a definition I'd use for faith, not belief.
  19. Beliefs can be supported by evidence and knowledge. As I outlined in post #1304. That makes them a subset.
  20. You can use evidence of previous seasons, the strength of Saints squad and other club's squads to form an opinion. You would then have a belief supported by evidence.
  21. Good, we agree... so what is your contention?
  22. Faith is the excuse people give if they don't have good evidence, if you had good evidence you would not need faith... you'd use the evidence instead! It is irrational and gullible to believe things without evidence.
  23. I was, Christians claim god wants everyone to know his message. If someone provides me with compelling evidence the Christian god exists and manifests in reality I will believe in him. So... what do you have in the way of evidence apart from an old man made book?
