  1. What do you think I mean by knowledge is a subset of belief?
  2. What are you claiming I am wrong about? Plus you appear to be using the fallacious argument that the number of people impacts validity. Argumentum ad populum - (not a Harry Potter spell)
  3. I agree, believing something is true does not make it so. So how am I undercutting my own argument?
  4. Atheism does not require any faith in the slightest. Atheism is not the claim there are no gods, it is the rejection of theist claims. Those are too very different things.
  5. This is an issue with you not understanding knowledge is a subset of belief, not a cop out at all. I said in the post that I do not know that he has one! The issue is you not understanding subsets and that knowledge is a subset of belief.
  6. I answered this in post #1231 I believe it is possible he could have a pet goldfish... but I do not know that he has one. Knowledge is a subset of belief.
  7. Agnosticism concerns knowledge, knowledge is a subset of belief... not an alternative.
  8. It isn't unfeasible, strong evidence exists people keep goldfish as pets. But if you said you had a pet invisible dragon I'd want stronger evidence than just you saying it. Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. Not an old book.
  9. If you are 'not sure', then you don't currently believe... so are an atheist. Agnosticism is a sub-set of atheism.
  10. Turkish accusing me of not understanding the global flood, so I give him a summary and ask him to explain why it is wrong... and he ignores it. Can you explain why the summary is wrong as Turkish doesn't look like he can?
  11. Not true, you either believe in an intervening god(theism) or you don't (atheism). There is no third option, you are one or the other.
  12. Thread title is 'Your past their best Saints XI' Criteria in opening post... 'either through age or injuries' Age and injuries was the reason Ball was not at his best when at Saints. - Ball broke his leg in 1974 - He joined Saints in 1976
  13. I'm not denying he was a very good player for Saints, just that his best was at Everton/Arsenal.
  14. The thread title is 'past their best', not 'past it'. If Ball was at his best at Saints... why wasn't he playing for England? He dropped down to the 2nd tier to play for us, players at their peak don't do that.
  15. I'm not saying he wasn't a great signing for Saints. But the thread asks for those that were past their best at Saints. His last England cap was in 1975 and he joined Saints in 1976 in the 2nd tier as a 31 year old, his peak was at Everton/Arsenal.
  16. The UK does not have a written constitution.
  17. One of the most successful managers of all time...
  18. Still waiting...
  19. We need food, that requires labour to pick it. Farmers need 70,000 workers to feed the nation or millions of tonnes of food will go to waste during a national crisis. They are being quarantined and put in small working teams in hostel accommodation. Stupidity would be letting food grown in this country not feed this country.
  20. 1) Concessions? No, you just misunderstood what I said and kept saying I said something I didn't. 2) They had a moral code from god in the Bible that included stoning to death disobedient children. They have now created their own moral code. No need to turn to god for a moral code if you re-write his!
