We weren't in a relegation scrap last season. We barely showed signs of life! 😉

He played in 29 Premier League games for a very good Bournemouth team last season. Do you think he washed away with the tide?
-
We literally did not! 😉

I'd raise doubts about the credibility of that source. A self-proclaimed 'Upcoming Football Journalist' and 'Transfer Guru' with only 187 followers.

Top scorer for the best team in 2.Bundesliga last season, is not underwhelming for a Championship team.

@Lighthouse Has the thread title jumped the gun a little? Saints website has said terms have been agreed, but neither club have announced he has actually left (yet). https://www.southamptonfc.com/en/news/article/terms-agreed-with-trabzonspor-for-onuachu-transfer If he had signed, wouldn't it be mentioned on here... (as of the time of this post it hasn't been) https://www.trabzonspor.org.tr/en

Under 1,000 season tickets left for 2025/26. With more sold than in the 2023/24 season. Men's Season Tickets: fewer than 1,000 left | Southampton FC Official Site

To be fair to Ankersen, he has got some good outgoing prices. £58m for Lavia for example. He messed up the incomings!
-
Dragan Solak said in his interview with the Echo/BBC that Rasmus Ankerson is dealing with outgoing players. Spors is overseeing incomings.

He was given freedom of the city... https://share.google/I2Jh1leDl6mUpZt0k

What analogy can we use for buying them for a combined £40m?
