Saints are among the biggest wage bills in world football and Pellegrino will be among the highest earning managers in world football, it isn't being cheap. Going for a manager in a job is more complicated and in any case there are lots of good managers out of work. Not sure why I'm bothering responding to you as you will likely as normal pick and choose which bits of my post you want to talk about and ignore the rest and likely find an opportunity to post your favourite children's character.

Nor do I. Why would Saints offer a player a new 4 year contract last summer with a release clause similar to the price we got him for? I doubt Saints have set fee release clauses in any of their contracts and defineltely not as tiny as £13m for an established Premier League player. Removes any transfer negotiating possibility. In 2017 £13m is the cost of an attacking player who has a decent season in the Championship.... not the cost of a player who since arriving in England in 2014 is the 4th highest assist maker in the Premier League.

I think it is extremely unlikely Saints would give Tadic a new 4 year contract with a release clause very similar to the price we paid for him. Making the clause £13m for a player that cost £11m is daft and significantly undervalues him. £13m is the cost of an attacking player who has a decent season in the Premier League, not the Premier League's 4th highest assist maker since 2014 when he arrived!
