I think that is very unlikely as we have 4 senior keepers (3 of which are fit) and any additional keeper is unlikely to get much game time. Given they've already made a big bid for a centre back this summer, its very likely they'll be making another bid for a different player.

Why and how would the Europa matches mean they aren't looking for new players? Just because its not in the press, it doesn't mean they aren't pursuing targets.

Yes.

To make it even clearer for Alpine...

How have you jumped to that conclusion? Pathetic. How have you jumped to that conclusion? Why are you surprised at that?
-
How have you managed to jump to the conclusion there is no space for further signing from that list of squad numbers? Any new senior signings can have... 13, 14 or 17

CONFIRMED - Virgil Van Dijk joins on Five Year Deal
Matthew Le God replied to Brizzie Saints's topic in The Saints
I doubt that is true. I think we'll be signing a new 1st choice centre back regardless of how well they think Stephens is progressing. Stephens first needs to overtake Gardos and then Yoshida. If no new centre back is signed, who are you suggesting will be first choice alongside Fonte? Yoshida? Because although he is fine as cover, he is a drop in quality from Alderweireld. -
Saints media team on commentary say its Ward-Prowse, S.Davis, Rodriguez as the three behind Pelle in a 4-2-3-1.
-
He shouldn't really be troubled much by a 4th tier Dutch ameteur side. Saints have a game in 2 days vs Feyenoord for him to play in, where we'll probably be close to our first choice XI.

We were the 6th highest scorers in the league. Scored more than Liverpool. What would be the logic behind doing that? Why would you not count those games?

And as I said... How Danny Fox did in the Premier League is irrelevant to Virgil van Dijk, you should judge a player on their own merits. Fraser Forster, Victor Wanyama and Steven Davis all came from the Old Firm, did you pre-judge them based on Danny Fox? -

I was responding to people calling him "turd" and "dreadful", its relative to the situation the club find itself in. How Danny Fox did in the Premier League is irrelevant to Virgil van Dijk, you should judge a player on their own merits. -

He was not "turd" or "dreadful" when you look at his signing in context. - Danny Fox was signed by Saints to get us out of the Championship. - Saints were promoted out of the Championship in the season he signed; with Fox playing in 41 of our 46 league games as a regular member of one of the best defences in the league & he had 11 league assists - He was then out of his depth in the Premier League, but he performed a very useful role in the Championship promotion season. A successful signing, he did what he was signed to do.
