It appears the march towards relegation to non-league can continue... Alex Goring Crook @alex_crook 2m2 minutes ago Nothing official but been told the #pompey board have given Awford a stay of execution and he will be in charge for at least next 2 games
-
Its a collective effort from the whole squad, but its not equal credit to be divided up in the entire squad. More credit goes to the 1st choice keeper who has played every minute, compared to Yoshida who is 3rd/4th choice centre back and... hasn't. Its very hard to be solid defensively and have the best record in the Premier League without a good keeper, you can "get away with it" if you have a drop in quality elsewhere in the side occasionally.
-
No I haven't. In the past I've pointed out Yoshida's flaws, he is a reasonable player, but isn't good enough to regularly start if we want to challenge for the top 4. Which is why Alderweireld and Fonte are 1st choices. Forster has played in all 22 Premier League games. Yoshida is 3rd/4th choice centre back and only featured in half of them, Forster is the 1st choice keeper.
-
No keeper is going to go a whole season without some mistakes. Our defence have reduced the amount of efforts he has to deal with, but Forster still deserves a lot of credit for only conceding 16 goals in 22 Premier League games. This is just crazy, putting aside who is better than who... Forster hasn't moved to Saints for £10m to sit on the bench! He has played a key part in the best defensive record in the Premier League this season.

He didn't mention him because Schneiderlin's contract expires in June 2017.
-
Its not the same scenario, Fonte is a 1st choice player and Cork isn't. Cork is behind Schneiderlin and Wanyama in the pecking order, plus we have Davis and Ward-Prowse (who is pretty established now) , then we have Reed and a number of other high quality academy central midfielders coming through. Saints have more depth in central midfield than any other area of the pitch.

Use the Liverpool ticket information as a guide for the Tottenham game in terms of ticket price, how long before the game tickets go on sale and the details of when tickets go on sale to different people relative to match-day. http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/news/article/tickets-southampton-vs-liverpool-22022015-2216338.aspx The Spurs game is likely to sellout quickly with it being a more glamorous opponent, Spurs filling the away end, Pochettino's return and Saints doing well in the league.
-
If he was only a Hibs fan, that makes him a neutral so why not go in the home end? But as angelman found out in post #5 he may have been to a previous Spurs away game in Newcastle, so may actually also support them.

A competition between two Derby Road girls... assembling Swedish flat pack furniture in a zorb whilst the Benny Hill music plays in the background.

A higher league placing this season would bring in more prize money. If such a list included transfer income that would shoot Saints up the list after our summer sales in 2014/15.

I didn't take it as 100% true, what I did is I asked for what reason would they be lying? No-one has given an answer to that yet. A smoke screen for what reason? If his career was over what reason would there be for not making it public and lying about it instead?

Why would Rodriguez's agent say this 7 days ago if things weren't looking good...? Stephen J Harrison @StephenHM56 A lovely evening with @JayRodriguez9 & his fiancé. If that were the case he could just stay quiet. Equally why would Rodriguez agent say this 7 days ago if things weren't looking good...? How do you know he isn't? Just because he wasn't photographed with the first team today why have you jumped to the conclusion he wasn't at Staplewood? You keep jumping to conclusions with little (actually no) supporting evidence.

Post #4 for a start. In any case why would the club not giving you minute by minute updates on him mean you jump to the conclusion that his career was over? If his career was over, why would the club have any need to cover it up?

What a bizarre conclusion to jump to.

If you read the article in question they have leaped to that conclusion because Koeman is reportedly... http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/liverpool-fc-transfer-gossip-rodgers-8478157

He couldn't play against Ipswich at St Mary's because he wasn't registered in time for the game because of how the transfer window and FA Cup weekend fell this year in terms of dates. If you aren't registered for the original FA Cup match then you can't play in the replay. Elia is able to play vs Crystal Palace in the 4th round.

Even when we were relegated from the Premier League finishing 20th in 2004/05 we averaged 30,610 and sold out more than just two games as you think we would. Anyway as I said... if someone wants to continue this, bump up a stadium expansion thread rather than use a match thread.

Thats an extremely negative and unambitious way of looking at things. Anyway if someone wants to continue this... bump up a stadium expansion thread rather than use a match thread.

15,000 tickets sold since Palace game went on general sale yesterday morning. The game is 8th successive home game sell out.
