In 2013/14... Fulham £5m Stoke £3m Whats wrong with thinking we should be in the £3m to £5m ballpark for a sponsorship deal when compared with those clubs we have overtaken on the pitch? Anything less than £3m isn't really significantly closing the gap commercially as Ralph Krueger suggested he would be aiming to do.

In 2013/14 Fulham £5m Stoke £3m Whats wrong with thinking we should be in the £3m to £5m ballpark for a sponsorship deal? You suggesting Saints should only be worth £1.5m stands out more than my suggestion. Yes, Fulham have a London advantage, but Saints have a better team, bigger support base and and better infrastructure.

You've taken that out of context somewhat, I didn't say it definitely was a £3m to £5m deal, l said... "Saints should be looking for deals from £3m to £5m if they are seriously looking to close the gap commercially as Ralph Krueger stated he was aiming to". If it is only another £500k making it £1.5m, that'll be disappointing as it still leaves Saints significantly below many teams we've overtaken on the pitch. Krueger was talking about closing the gap commercially, a £1.5m shirt sponsorship deal will still be one of the lowest in the Premier League.

Easy mistake to make...

Not shooting himself, but this'll do.

Any Saints B team would play at St Mary's/Staplewood/possibly Eastleigh and train at Staplewood with Saints coaches. Daily Mail think Saints would prefer closer links with a feeder club rather than a B-team... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2622852/FA-chairman-Greg-Dyke-plans-regionalise-lower-leagues-Premier-League-B-teams.html#readerCommentsCommand-message-field Which would mean Saints players not playing or training at Staplewood with Saints coaches.

Guly pretty much confirms he is leaving Saints this summer
Matthew Le God replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
9 goals in League 1 and 10 goals in the Championship is a significant contribution to getting the club you allegedly "support" (in its loosest sense) back to the Premier League. He wasn't signed to be a Premier League player for Saints, he was signed to help get us out of League 1 and the Championship... which he did. -

He played an important role in getting a club promoted from League One to the Premier League. Yes, he is out of his depth at a top 8 Premier League club, but give him some credit for his good work in previous years ffs! -
Does it? Why? As he has been training with the Saints 1st team squad since Fox left in January.

Can someone do a mock up of it with black shorts and white socks please?

The home of Southampton "B"...

Accrington Stanley @ASFCofficial 35m In 2016/17 we can achieve our dream... We'll finally be able to play Stoke City Reserves in the Football League...

Cheers.

It also works like that in Spain and Germany, although highest level they are allowed is the 2nd tier.
-
The proposal states "B" teams aren't allowed to go higher than League 1.
-
Do you have a link for that?
-
Real Madrid and Barcelona's B teams average around 4k, so god only knows what Stoke and Burnley's will get.
-
The report says B teams aren't allowed in FA Cup or League Cup. Something along these lines is included in the commissions report. They plan over a number of years to get clubs to have 12 players with football education in England, with 4 of them having to come through your own academy in the 25 man squads. Plus signing non EU players will be significantly limited.
-
That is a rule for League One and League Two clubs, not the Premier League.

VIDEO: Ralph Krueger on the 2013/14 season
Matthew Le God replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Quoting Kipling's "If" reminds me of this... Next season Saints will be playing "four, four, f**king two".
