  1. That article isn't based on what the Express knows, throughout they are just referring to the Ladbrokes odds in the next Southampton manager market.
  2. De Boer is a long shot, but does seem to be looking for a way into the Premier League and we might be a good option. Ajax of course significantly bigger than us, but Saints are a top half Premier League side De Boer might at a stretch be able to get his teeth into. But Simeone! Simone isn't a long shot, he is this... [video=youtube;nybr-xw14Pg]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nybr-xw14Pg
  3. Would you consider saving the negativity until you see the calibre of Pochettino's replacement and replacements for any player departures? Will be a long summer if we have endless negative threads and posts from you like we do every year. I'm renewing regardless of manager/players, how about you?
  4. I'm guessing you haven't read reports on his departure from Swansea.
  5. I'd be happy with Murat Yakin.
  6. That would be a disaster.
  7. He's turned us down before... http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/w/west_ham_utd/1361451.stm
  8. I still don't understand why people say the source is "twitter". Twitter can be a good source and a bad source, it can range from the actual person, to someone with credibility in the industry or press, to a complete random person on a wind up anywhere in the world. Who on Twitter said it?
  9. His £80k p/w wage is a significant stumbling block.
  10. If that photo really was of Pochettino at Spurs training ground it would be in today's newspapers. It isn't.
  11. That makes no sense. The suggestion is that its Spurs training ground, why would he goto their training ground for a first team game at White Hart Lane?
  12. Its all relative, of course he wouldn't be a liability in League 2 as a centre back, but at the very top level he is. I'm talking Premier League title challenge, Champions League and World Cup. If he really was a £50m centre back, why are Gary Cahill and John Terry playing ahead of him?
  13. He's not first choice for Chelsea at centre back, John Terry and Gary Cahill are. David Luiz is a liability as a centre back, Lovren is better as a centre back than him.
  14. Its not usual for the manager of any club to be at the contract photo shoot of every player the club employs.
  15. Yep its fake, no other Saints players or staff follow it and it isn't verified like every other senior Saints player on Twitter has for their accounts.
  16. Schneiderlin isn't on Twitter. If you are referring to this account... https://twitter.com/m_schneiderlin Why isn't it verified and why don't other Saints players and Saints staff follow him? It is someone on a wind-up.

  18. Whoever made that Tweet is wrong, as its an under 20's tournament. Which is why Danny Ings and others played vs Wales a few days ago in an under 21 qualifier, but not in this squad because they are too old.
  19. Well they aren't, all they do is give a reasonable idea of the pecking order for some positions. If you applied the same to Saints then Lallana (20) and Shaw (23) wouldn't be starters at club level. Welbeck, Lampard, Wilshire all have shirts from 1-11, but I'd suggest none are guaranteed starters. Shaw and Lambert are very unlikely to start vs Italy, but I'd say Lallana has a very good chance.
  20. Shaw and Lallana get the same numbers they have for Saints and Lambert can do a Zamorano and claim its 1+8 = 9
  21. Ummm, hope you haven't got your shirt yet because... Southampton FC ‏@SouthamptonFC 38s Adam Lallana will wear the number 20 shirt at this summer’s #WorldCup. Rickie Lambert gets number 18, and @LukeShaw3 is number 23. #saintsfc 1. Joe Hart 2. Glen Johnson 3. Leighton Baines 4. Steven Gerrard 5. Gary Cahill 6. Phil Jagielka 7. Jack Wilshere 8. Frank Lampard 9. Daniel Sturridge 10. Wayne Rooney 11. Daniel Welbeck 12. Chris Smalling 13. Ben Foster 14. Jordan Henderson 15. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain 16. Phil Jones 17. James Milner 18. Rickie Lambert 19. Raheem Sterling 20. Adam Lallana 21. Ross Barkley 22. Fraser Forster 23. Luke Shaw
  22. Jake Sinclair...
