Gaston Ramirez to Seville on Loan (Rumour)
Matthew Le God replied to saint-ross's topic in The Saints
It makes no sense for him to agree to a pay cut. If you've signed a contract with Chelsea and they have to pay you the amount on the contract until date X, why would you then agree to a wage cut? Chelsea would have to pay him 100% if he stayed, if Chelsea pay even 90% of his wages when on loan and Wigan the other 10% then Chelsea are saving money and he still gets 100% of his Chelsea contract. -

St Chalet thought players on loan could/would take cuts, perhaps others on the forum do as well. -

Players on loan don't take cuts to their salary, all that is to be arranged is the % spilt of his existing contract with Saints between us and Sevilla. Ramirez won't see a difference to his wages whilst he remains a Saints player, even when out on loan. -
If the deal is close it seems odd Saints cup tied him by bringing him on last night rather than Saphir Taider.

Do you really think Pelle, Tadic, Long, Forster, Bertrand etc are "far less" than the players they replace? Shane Long for example was on £45,000 p/w at Hull City, I bet we gave him a pay rise after a £12m move. -

Deliberate or Glenn Cockerill Special ?
Matthew Le God replied to alpine_saint's topic in The Saints
Because it was so obviously, 100%, cast-iron deliberate I guess some people can't understand why you've brought an element of doubt into it. You appear to watch football in a very different way to most people on this forum. -
It would be good to keep him, but from Cork's point of view he really should be looking to be a regular starter at the age of 25. He'd be a regular starter if he moved to Crystal Palace, I can't see that happening at Saints, especially if Schneiderlin stays this window.
-
In a midfield three Cork is best suited to the one deep role and he won't play in that role ahead of Schneiderlin or Wanyama. I can also see why managers would favour Ward-Prowse and S.Davis for the more advanced roles. As I said Cork is a good player, but he is going to struggle for starts this season if he stays at Saints.
-
Although he is a good player, central midfield is the strongest position in our squad and we have better players than him in his position. That is why when everyone is fit, Cork won't start games.

Why have you assumed I produced it? Its currently one of the most popular images on Twitter, with "Jason Puncheon" trending.

Puncheon will be delighted...

They've gone by train this evening...
-
That happens after the summer transfer window closes. Once September comes his only real loan option would be to the Championship. I can't see him being keen on that.
-
Ramirez can be seen at 2:13
-
You need to look harder! Victor Wanyama can be seen at 0:38, 1:12, 1:34, 2:42, 3:15 and 3:24.
-
If they do both start they'll likely swap sides throughout the game.

There was in the non broadcast section.

Why not? Who should they use at left wing back instead?
