Why are previous player exchanges Saints have done in any way relevant? You should look at a player on their own merits.

Adrift on brown stuff creek without a paddle...

That isn't true. It hasn't been made public, but that doesn't mean there isn't one. The CEO of Veho has seen the new kit. -

Cortese speaking to BBC for first time since leaving Saints
Matthew Le God replied to Saint Garrett's topic in The Saints
Will we? Where is the non-Cortese side to the story? Because this doesn't really explain much... http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/news/article/southampton-fc-appointment-of-chairman-1296942.aspx/ -
The Benfica manager is 59 years old.
-
And I was supporting it.
-
Only guessing but I think its more likely to be new academy manager Matt Hale wanting to make his mark.
-
Jason Dodd joined Saints academy in November 2009, at the time Adam Lallana was 21 years old and was a regular in the first team.
-
Of course, but JWP did little wrong tonight apart from his marking for the Wales goal. In open play he was doing everything Southgate would want someone in that role to do. Its unlikely he'd win motm in that role as flair players like Redmond are more noticeable to your average fan, but if you watched what JWP did closely he kept England's passing ticking in a game they largely dominated in midfield.
-
He was playing as one of the 2 in a 4231 system. His role is to get the ball off the centre backs and distribute it to the attacking four players and fullbacks, plus take set pieces. What else are you expecting him to do in that role? I doubt Southgate gave him a remit to do anything else, as you need someone doing what JWP does well for a 4231 system to work well. Its never going to be a spectacular role to play, but JWP does the seemingly simple stuff consistently well.

Any players Saints buy with the money would also likely be in installments. So the year 2 and 3 Shaw money would help pay the year 2 and 3 payments for any purchases made by Saints.
-
Why? Because they've done such a terrible job signing players to get Saints from 68th to 8th in England in 5 years?

Alan Nixon @reluctantnicko · 24m Couple of surprise departures behind scenes at Southampton... Alan Nixon @reluctantnicko · 14m The pair of guys have been sacked ... would expect news to break shortly ... but trying to keep for paper. Neither Lallana or Shaw are in "behind the scenes" roles, nor would the club sack them!
-
They aren't from "behind the scenes", they were youth players that weren't offered pro deals by Saints and found a new club.
-
Matt Crocker left Saints last year to join the FA, Matt Hale has been the academy manager since October 2013.

In which case I still don't see Huddlestone as a good replacement for Schneiderlin, as he is slow and lumbering.
-
Central midfield is one of the few position Saints don't need to sign someone, along with right back.
-
I don't think it does that at all, Guly was out of his depth in the Premier League and would leave regardless of who the manager was next season if the club wants to progress. Guly was an important part of the League One and Championship promotions and if he wants to stay in England he'd be a good signing for quite a few Championship sides. If Saints gave him a new deal he'd be taking up an over 21 spot in our 25 man squad that could be better filled with someone else.

His contract ends 30th June 2015.
-
If he did go, I'm sure Saints can attract a very decent replacement if they really are willing to pay £6m p/a.
-
£115,000 p/w! Bloody hell! Does seem unlikely.
