  1. No he didn't.
  2. Its not been announced by SI or SEGA yet.
  3. No, Saints financial mess in 2008 and cashing in on the Bale clause early to drag it into 2009 was part of the chain of events that led to Liebherr taking over.
  4. That chain of events ultimately led to the Liebherr takeover, so does it really matter now?
  5. Very strange logic used in that article's headline.
  6. Have Sharp (or Martin, Tadanari Lee, Barnard, Forte) been seen training with the first team at all this season in training videos or photo galleries? No
  7. If you use the "Fulham are in London" argument, does the same apply to Crystal Palace? Both of them don't have the facilities at the stadium/training ground/academy/Jackson's Farm land that Saints do, nor the fanbase size.
  8. Southampton Football Club has never legally been in administration, so it has never needed a CVA. This is where you can stump Pompey fans with the difference between the two situations, because both Portsmouth FC and the holding company CSI were legally in administration during their last financial crisis. That led to a CVA being needed to dilute the previous failed CVA.

  10. Very selective in what I said Mr Hypochondriac, Shaw and Clyne didn't play vs Norwich.
  11. Pochettino doesn't use wingers, the width comes from very attacking full backs like Shaw and Clyne in the 4-2-3-1 system.
  12. AS Roma announced on their website the fee is €15.1m which could rise upto €17.1m.
  13. His 3 goals and 3 assists were useful. That equaliser away at Reading for example earning a point. Yes, he wasn't any use in the Premier League last season and was out of his depth. But I maintain he served a purpose as an impact sub in the Championship. As a signing for a Premier League team he isn't great, but Saints signed him to help get to the Premier League and he did play a part in that, so he served the purpose he was signed for.
  14. This is not the official Derby County FC account...
  15. He wasn't great, but was still used a lot in from the bench in a promotion season. He served a purpose and was out of his depth in the Premier League.
  16. Clyne, Boruc, Cork, Davis, Yoshida, Ramirez (Ramirez although frustrating and inconsistent is still a very good player) - all performed well in the Premier League last season in first season after promotion Hooiveld, Do Prado, Fox, Billy Sharp and even De Ridder to some extent - all played a role getting Saints promoted. They served the purpose they were signed for. Lovren, Wanyama and Osvaldo all look to be excellent signings. ................. Tadanari Lee and Forren are clearly flops, possibly Mayuka as well but again that could change. Gazzaniga jury still out, has potential and is very young for a keeper. ................. Thats a good success rate, every club has transfer mistakes. Saints have made very few in the last 4 years and the rise from 68th to currently 9th in England reflects that.
  17. No I didn't, I didn't post in that thread. Very odd sense of humour you have glasgow!
  18. Would that be the last few years that have seen the club rise from 68th to currently 9th in England? Club must be doing something right on transfers.
  19. I'm not 44 ffs, it is one of Glasgow_Saint's "jokes".
  20. Osvaldo has come in and in both articles about Mayuka and Puncheon leaving this was listed as a factor in them leaving. Plus we have Ward-Prowse starting in one of the positions Mayuka/Puncheon would be used and the emergence of Isgrove, Sinclair and Rowe.
  21. Saints upgraded him with a £15m Italian international striker.
  22. It hasn't been confirmed by either club, I guess when they do it can have its own thread.
  23. BBC Solent Sport ‏@solentsport 50s French club Sochaux lining up a loan bid for Southampton's Zambian forward Emmanuel Mayuka, we understand #bbcfootball #frenchconnection
  24. Where is that being reported?
