  1. Fly on the wall documentary of Pochettino and Osvaldo in Espanyol dressing room. Quite a twist at the end!
  2. I think there is a reasonable chance of that given he has a week of training ahead of him. Had he signed on the Thursday before the game he'd probably be on the bench.
  3. Roma said €15.1m with a further €2m of potential extras. €17.1m = £14.6m So the British media are rounding it to the nearest million in pounds sterling and saying £15m.
  4. Paolo Bandini, talkSPORT's Italian football expert, tells Southampton supporters what they can expect from new signing Pablo Osvaldo... http://talksport.com/football/bandini-osvaldo-tremendous-signing-southampton-13081956209
  5. That would be after tax.
  6. Southampton don't mention the fee, Roma have now released a statement on their website giving away the details... "The A. S. Rome S.p.A. announces that it has signed an agreement with the Southampton Football Club for the outright sale of the rights to the player Pablo Daniel Osvaldo, along with the recognition of an amount of 15.1 million euro. The agreement also provides for the recognition of a variable fee, up to a maximum of € 2 million for bonuses linked to the achievement by the Players' Club and the English of certain athletic goals." http://www.asroma.it/en/news/corporate_osvaldo_eng/ http://www.asroma.it/pdf/corporate/operazioni_di_mercato/2013_-08_-_18_osvaldo.pdf So it seems its an initial €15.1m (£12.8m), rising to €17.1m (£14.6m) depending on appearances/goals/club achievements.
  7. Chambers is a right back, Fox is a left back. Plus we need more than 18 players in our squad. The whole squad can't all be included on matchdays, some will be missing each game.
  8. Ramirez arrived back after a week in Japan yesterday.
  9. Lets imagine he joins Saints in the next couple of weeks, how would you back out of this? Please explain Saints continued interest in a player that Pochettino knows well. Do you honestly believe Cortese hasn't been given an indication he has a chance of closing the deal? Yet you've spent 19 posts in this thread saying repeatedly "Saints haven't a chance".
  10. What relevance does how Saints did on the opening day in 1995, 2002, 2012 etc have on tomorrow's game?
  11. GTA Online preview... [video=youtube;6nYIO-mkz10]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6nYIO-mkz10&feature=c4-overview&list=UUFiHjGyrJux8Rt4e6mUPU-w
  12. BBC Solent Sport ‏@solentsport 4m Pochettino: "If Shaw and Clyne come through training tomorrow morning they could be included in the 18-man squad for WBA".
  13. GTA V Online looks stunning...
  14. Tom Coull ‏@TomCoull 1m MP is due in the building at 3pm, although press conference won't start 'til around 3:15pm. We'll be live when it does! #saintsfc
  15. Neither of those links work.
  16. Every Saints league/cup game has a press conference in the two days before. It is mainly about the build up for the West Brom game, but journalists will ask about transfers.
  17. Southampton FC ‏@SouthamptonFC 1m For the first time, we will be streaming Mauricio Pochettino's pre-match press conference live on our official @YouTube channel. #saintsfc
  18. Looks like we may be able to watch it live based on this tease tweet by the media department... Tom Coull ‏@TomCoull 2m Don't suppose anybody wants to watch Mauricio Pochettino's pre-WBA press conference live on YouTube at 3pm? Nah, probably not... #saintsfc
  19. The club has seen what he is capable of in the Championship. That can give you an idea of what he'd be like at the next level, he's a good Championship player but doesn't have the ability to be a good Premier League player. If he really was good enough for the Premier League you'd think at the very least the newly promoted clubs like Palace, Hull and Cardiff would be interested knowing Saints want to sell, but they signed other targets. Instead Sharp was on loan in the Championship last season and this summer has attracted reported interest from Doncaster, Bournemouth and Sheff Weds. Saints are looking to push on into the top half of the Premier League. To do that they need to sign Italian internationals like Osvaldo, not use Sharp. If Saints were happy to remain in the bottom half I'm sure Sharp would be reasonable cover, but Cortese has far more ambition than that and Sharp doesn't improve the current starting XI.
  20. How do you know for certain he doesn't want to come to Saints?
  21. Why do you say that? None of us really know what the situation is. We went through an on/off transfer saga (if you believe the media/agents) with Ramirez last summer which concluded on deadline day.
  22. You said it was random, I linked to an article which shows it isn't, and yet I'm an "absolute clown"? Plus you don't know the meaning of "irony".
  23. No it isn't. http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/paulfletcher/2009/06/secrets_of_the_fixture_compute.html
  24. Sky said it is a 4-2-3-1 Welbeck upfront, with Rooney, Cleverly and Walcott behind him.
