The how much will we spend in the summer thread

Next season we won't have to adapt to the Premier League in the opening 10 games, that has already happened. -

In the 27 league games from the start of November 2012, Saints have averaged 1.33 points per game. Over a 38 games season that is 50 points and is top 8 form. -

He was injured in February, required an operation on his ankle and was ruled out for the rest of the season. -

At the moment we have 2 Premier League quality fullbacks in Clyne and Shaw, plus Championship quality cover in Fox and Richardson. Signing Gamez would give us 3 Premier League quality fullbacks. Gamez and Clyne can compete/cover each other for right back and if Shaw is missing through injury/suspension Gamez can play right back and Clyne left back.

The Mirror's Alan Nixon today says... Alan Nixon @reluctantnicko Protected account 2h Just about trying to agree fees now. Gamez. Erazo. Maybe Wanyama. Among others.

We are the 8th highest scorers in the league. It isn't Cork's role to get into scoring positions very often, he has played a key part in reducing the number of goals conceded. -
They are making use of the away kit then at last!

That is Katharina's cousin - Christina Liebherr the Olympic show-jumper.

AFL architects who are working for Saints on the St Mary's and Staplewood training ground also did this at Edgebasten cricket ground... With roof cut away... It is a banqueting suite, so maybe something similar at St Mary's perhaps. The St Mary's one looks bigger so probably has lots of things inside.

For those that have forgotten... Kenwyne Jones went on strike and refused to play for Saints in 2007 in order to force a move to Sunderland.

I'd say she is more likely to be his wife, than his daughter.

"We are now in a position to move forward with our ambitious plans for the Club". Nicola Cortese, 18th May 2013 And this is Cortese's ambition for the club...

Sarcasm on an interent forum is hard to determine without tone.

68th in England on the day he took charge, to 14th in England (possibly as high as 10th by Sunday evening) - is not a "poor to average job"!

Standing on grass applauding a great season, standing in the stands applauding a great season. Is the former really any better? Or is it the thrill of doing something different (albeit illegal)?
-
A lot have said don't do it this year, but have condoned it for promotion years and last day survivals. I really don't see the point in them at all, it is illegal and you can still enjoy yourself after the full time whistle by staying in the stands and clapping a lap of honour from the players.
-
This might not go down well... Technically a pitch invasion is illegal. Should we really be having threads with people condoning illegal acts on this forum?

The Rastafari movement is an offshoot of Christianity.

Kenwyne Jones is a Rastafarian, so a pig's head in his locker isn't going to go down well. Not that it would even if he wasn't a Rastafarian.

We spent more than them this season, but we were playing catch up as they've assembled their top 6 squad over a number of years of being in the Premier League with Premier League money. Saints were trying to turn a League One squad into a Premier League squad very quickly - and succeeded.

He also said... "Just before he died, he planned to do a complex shifting of shares which would have given them independence and more funds, his heirs in Switzerland have changed their attitude towards the club and has left Cortese wondering if he can take it any further. He is very, very ambitious and very sharp." Interview starts 10:30 minutes into the 7:00 to 7:30 slot... http://www.talksport.co.uk/radio/listen-again/episode/115027

Shaw was training today, I think he'll play on Sunday.

@SouthamptonFC: Pochettino says Rickie Lambert, @Luke_shaw3, Steve De Ridder and Vegard Forren have missed some training sessions this week. #saintsfc .............. No Lambert, De Ridder or Forren in the training video and training photos today. Shaw did train today. So perhaps...
