How do you know Saints haven't? As Nigel always says, Saints do their business behind the scenes and announce things when complete. -
Because he leads the line very well, which anyone watching the Villa or Stoke game would see. Lambert was playing in a deeper role in those games, allowing Rodriguez to make runs in behind the defence. Rodriguez isn't lighting quick but is fast enough to worry defences, something Lambert can't do.
-
We are going to be doing a lot of running without the ball against the European Champions, let Guly Do Prado and Rodriguez do that and then bring Lambert and Ramirez on fresh in the second half.
-
That happened yesterday.
-
He is on large wages and unlikely to want to play second fiddle to a 17 year old.
-
He trained yesterday and will likely play tonight. All he had was a cut on his knee.

35 minutes ago. Davide Astori @DavideAstori Cambio last minute..ho visto "la migliore offerta" BELLISSIMO!!!! Buona notte.. Translates as... Change last minute .. I saw "the best deal" BEAUTIFUL!! Good night .. .............................. Wonder what that is about? Got his dream move back to AC Milan? Saints actually got him? Or nothing to do with transfers at all and he got a good deal on designer shirt?

The January 2013 HCDAJFU thread...
Matthew Le God replied to Dibden Purlieu Saint's topic in The Saints
Harry Redknapp a mere 3 weeks ago made this statement... "You shouldn't be paying massive wages when you've got a stadium that holds 18,000 people. Newcastle holds 52,000 and most of their players will be nowhere near some of the wages some of the players are earning here." http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/20828024 And now this... http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/21020992 -
1st year scholar and Southampton U18's top scorer Ryan Seager has been called up to the England under 17 squad for a tournament in Portugal. https://www.thefa.com/England/mens-u17s/News/2013/algarve-tournament-squad-announced-140113.aspx He looks to be a top prospect and played a key role in helping the under 18's win their league in the first half of the season.

This thread really isn't going to end well.

There are a number of data fields that can't be seen in game, but do have an impact. Like a controversy rating. This covers your previous example of a Joey Barton type incident. I use the researchers editor to input the data. I don't use the data editor that anyone buying the game would use, so not 100% sure if you can see the hidden attributes on there but I think it probably would allow you to see those fields.
-
A mature way to debate, that also breaks the forums rules. Grow up.
-
They are there to see in the researchers editor and I think also the editor that comes with the game.
-
There are hidden ratings that take events like that into account. Not exactly that Joey Barton incident, but players get a controversy rating that is kept hidden from the user.
-
Prove it, for all 3 with links.

Some areas are always going to be subjective. That is what scouting is. I wouldn't really agree with your Lambert/Rodriguez statement. On FM13 Lambert has a higher current ability than Rodriguez, but Rodriguez has a potential ability that if fulfilled will take him above Lambert.
-
I have said none of those things.

As I said earlier, clubs use it as an initial scouting tool and pay for the privilege... http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/news/Everton-using-Football-Manager-computer-game-article33798.html A number of FM researchers are employed by football clubs, some have even been employed to scout for them by clubs off the back of their work on FM. Some people are far too quick to dismiss the game's database as a real life tool.

Did you think that in 2005? -
Regarding the Bournemouth vs Pompey game at Dean Court. When Bournemouth fans mentions bringing out the South Stand for "big" games and putting it away again, it reminds me of this... http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=oq4NLBhWvpo#t=672s

If you are being serious and can't see why a football game which aims to be a simulation of real life, doesn't give an indication of what a player is like, then there really is no helping you.
-
I'm pretty confident I have the Saints players positions pretty accurate on Football Manager. I base their positions on having a season ticket at St Mary's and watching them play, same applies for other clubs and their researchers. Professional clubs even pay for the privilege of using FM as an initial scouting tool. To rule it out as a resource as quickly as you often do is quite wrong to do.
