  1. When did I say we did? I just said it was a "442 system", which doesn't really conflict with your description.
  2. People will buy season tickets regardless of early summer signings, no real need to go out of their way to combine the two. When a signing comes it will boost the sales, but tickets can go on sale beforehand.
  3. Despite it being perfectly playable for next season in League One, Pompey whilst in administration are relaying their pitch at the moment!
  4. Saints and Reading had similar prices in 2011/12 in the Championship. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/14367357 Similar again in the Premier League? 5. This is one of the rare occasions where I agree with you.
  6. They will all be on very low wages. Pompey do need some players next season to play games if they sell off all the senior players. Though they should have been using youth products from the start of their problems rather than releasing 18 and 19 year olds and signing Premier League loans and free transfers like they have done recently.
  7. Oh, how different it might have been... http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11700_2278049,00.html + http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11700_2271287,00.html
  8. Cork and Schneiderlin will be the first choice pairing.
  9. Nigel Adkins plan A is a 442 system, plan B is a 442 diamond system with Lallana at the tip of the diamond. We have using him in this role for years! You say we need a "goal scoring midfielder", the Saints systems Adkins used last season led the club to promotion and being the Championship's top goalscorers - it didn't require Hammond, Cork or Schneiderlin to score goals as that isn't their role in what the team does. It really doesn't matter who scores goals as long as the team scores goals, doesn't concede many and wins games. As for "lightweight with Schneiderlin", Schneiderlin is the clubs defensive midfielder and is a very effective ball winner that sits justs in front of the centre backs and starts Saints going with his range of passing. A 442 diamond doesn't normally require wingers, central midfielder play in front of the defensive midfielder and the width comes from the fullbacks.
  10. - The Birmingham vs Blackpool game at St. Andrews was on Wednesday 9th May - The St Mary's promotion celebration party was on Sunday 6th May
  11. We are not the same person Glasgow_Saint!
  12. As this thread is about "Radhi Jaidi - All round great guy", I think another thread to discuss what Les Reed is outlining is worthwhile... http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?38155-French-Africa-Southampton-after-a-slice
  13. Southampton's strategy going forward according to Les Reed... Sounds like they have other targets areas apart from this region as well. First Africa, next stop Saints academies all over the world...!
  14. Are you Lord Percy of Portsmouth?
  15. The Sun linked Saints with a £3m bid for Curtis Davies on 7th May 2012 if Birmingham didn't win the playoffs.
  16. Nigel Adkins and Neil Lennon between them confirmed back in January that Saints were more than just "interested".
  17. http://www.talksport.co.uk/sports-news/football/premier-league/transfer-rumours/120521/galatasaray-set-rival-southampton-celtic-star-172566
  18. Well surely that would be resolved now we've been promoted.
  19. I can't think of what work based issue there could be "strained" relationships about. Adkins has just delivered back to back promotions. So what do you think could potentially be the issue(s) that have caused a problem? Yes, I know you said you "don't know the specifics", but take a guess.
  20. Balram Chainrai interview in South China Morning Post: "I have been approached by many fans and people from Portsmouth who requested me to take over the club." Sure you have!
