Big difference between Hooper moving from one league to another, and Lambert being sold to promotion rivals having recently signed a long term deal at a financially secure club.

Time for a mod to close this nonsense.

I hope Cestrian Saint applies for any vacancies that crop up in the talent ID department at St Mary's.

Portsmouth F.C.'s new signing Kelvin Etuhu in "action"...

Impossible to police and easy to do either indirectly or directly especially if you know each other like Hooper and Adkins/Crosby do. I don't think Saints would continue their interest for this long if Adkins didn't think Hooper would be interested, I think he knows he would be. Main obstacle to this transfer happening is agreeing a fee with Celtic, not getting Hooper to want to leave.

Oppress and colonise the Scots for hundreds of years?

Jos and Celtic's Joe Ledley tweeted about it. Would seem it happened... https://twitter.com/#!/joe16led/status/159598144890474496

It is hard to believe the topic didn't come up in conversation over dinner.

I refer you to this well made point... Uprooting from Japan to the UK is a little different from putting you things in a removal van and moving from London to Southampton. I'd imagine he has a huge amount of things to sort out on top of just getting the paperwork done. -
He is 6 foot 1 and only slightly shorter than Lambert (6 foot 2). Are you sure you have been watching Jordan Rhodes? http://www.htafc.com/page/ProfilesDetail/0,,10312~39589,00.html

After 26 games in the Championship last season Norwich City were 4th with 44 points, 42 goals scored GD of +8. Saints after 26 games are 1st with 50 points, 50 goals scored GD of +22. You doth complain too much Mr Dalek and make very bad comparisons. Go and watch the video I showed you again, it might cheer you up. -
Glad to make you happy for once! I hope Saints will make you happy when they sign Hooper. Bit of Trivia - Craig Ferguson played Confidence in Series One of Red Dwarf episode "Confidence and Paranoia". Quite apt for this forum!

I look forward to the first Celtic fan that pays the £5 subscription so he can have more than 3 posts per day.

Wow! Is that English? After a full stop or comma you should leave a gap. Like the one I just did, go back and have a look at the gap. Breaks things up nicely with a pause for breath. Capital letters are nice AsWeLL, although only if they are in the correct place.

Unlike in 24, when the "Admin Andy Pompey takeover timer" runs out it resets to 48 hours.

Joseph Cala - "Without these eight players the club is healthy, in fact it would be profitable." So the parent company CSI is in admin, North One doesn't have the World Rally rights and Joseph Cala admits Pompey isn't healthy and isn't profitable. Admin Andy keeps saying they need money to see out the season now that Antonov isn't pumping stolen cash from Lithuanian/Latvian bank customers to fund transfer sprees and the wage bill. Has anyone emailed the Football League asking them why they even need bother investigating if a points deduction is needed? Admin Andy, David Lampitt, Joseph Cala, Chris Akers and others connected have all but admitted the club are screwed financially now the parent company has gone under.

I hope Pompey don't get screwed with 20% of money owed in a CVA for PFCTV...

- Cork was struggling to get a look in at Chelsea. - Lambert was the star player for a small League One club. - Chaplow was out of favour at Preston who were in financial trouble and looking to reduce the wage bill. None of them were ever going to cost that much. Gary Hooper on the other hand is a proven Championship scorer and now is top scorer in an admittedly poor Scottish League but plays is a key player for Celtic. It is no surprise he would command a hefty fee, as would any other player with his background.
