Someone threw an aubergine on the pitch again?
Someone did that at Bristol Rovers last August in Pardew's last game. It was a little bizarre when everyone chanted "aubergine, aubergine".
Less than Lallana and Chamaberlain.
It really does say a lot for 3rd tier Saints, that one of their squad players can start games and score goals whilst on loan to a team in the Premier League.
Why wouldn't they?
Why wouldn't it?
They are going to have to build a new one in the summer when their tiny squad gets ripped apart with loans and contracts ending.
The fact the club put in a planning application for Staplewood before Markus' death, then after his death they put in a new application with the development costing significantly more than the original is strong signal of intent.
All Steve Grant has done in the opening post is pick out the key figures. He hasn't passed comment on them in either a positive or negative way, nor has he really cherry picked the figures. I see nothing wrong with the opening post.
Two games this season tells a story. He has either been injured (and thus a signing risk), or not deemed good enough to start for a soon to be relegated team and released before the end of the season. Where as Saints are looking for players in the event of promotion, to get them promoted again within two years.
He has been released before the end of the season, from a club which is soon to be relegated from a League we hope to be in next season, having only played two games this season. All very telling...
The "debts" may well be turned into equity similar to what Abramovich did at Chelsea. Helps avoid the need to pay gift tax.
If you download the accounts you will see the directors loans aren't repayable for at least 5 years (if at all).
Have you seen Bale beat players with lots of quick changes of direction and feints like Lallana does? I haven't.
Bale's method of beating players is to beat them by out pacing them and having good ball control at speed. Of course Bale is doing it at a much higher level and against far better opponents.
