  1. He had a public go at Saints fans in the media for a playful chant at St Mary's. He also completely ignored the Blackpool fans chant beforehand. It isn't a real rivalry, but I'm sure he'll receive some interesting banter on his next return to St Mary's.
  2. More value elsewhere. Paddy Power for example have Saints at 18/1
  3. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M9w7jHYriFo
  4. They appointed Avram Grant, and kept faith with him. West Ham still have huge debts and a huge wage bill.
  5. The article was edited. Originally it hinted Chamberlain was likely to go.
  6. Skybet through Sky Sports would have contacts with people in the game that know if Saints are planning to spend or not, such as agents and thus shorten odds. They would also have seen what Norwich did last season and see it is not impossible to pass straight through the league.
  7. He actually had the ball a lot. Did you actually watch the game for when he touched it or just when the commentators said the word "Puncheon". Commentators don't state the player in possession for every touch.
  8. Based on what? A hunch? Or some real evidence? Oh ffs. "wierd energy released" How does this weird energy know it was a "sudden, violent or unexpectant" death?
  9. Only Swansea/Reading and Peterborough/Huddersfield missing and the small matter of 3 months worth of transfers ins/outs. Updated Skybet odds... West Ham 7/1 Leicester 7/1 Birmingham 8/1 Southampton 10/1 Nottingham Forest 10/1 Middlesbrough 10/1 Cardiff 12/1 Brighton 14/1 Burnley 14/1 Blackpool 16/1 Ipswich 16/1 Leeds 20/1 Hull City 25/1 Bristol City 25/1 Millwall 33/1 Coventry 33/1 Derby 33/1 Watford 33/1 Portsmouth 33/1 Crystal Palace 80/1 Barnsley 100/1 Doncaster 100/1
  10. Is what a joke? I just said they deemed that appointment worthy of a news story.
  11. This appointment was deemed worthy enough of a story on the OS... http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~2096187,00.html and was even worthy of a story here in a leading marketing website... http://www.marketingweek.co.uk/news/southampton-fc-unveils-new-head-of-marketing/3015999.article
  12. Blackpool and Birmingham are both in the Europa League, so both have to fit in those European midweek games with a 46 game league season.
  13. Yes. There is nothing in the rules that says they can't. Quite how they will fit in the matches (especially if they reach the group stage) with a 46 game Championship season is another matter...
  14. How can out of contract players be included in a deal?
  15. Many people throughout history have claimed to see unicorns, leprechauns, goblins, fairies etc do you believe in them? If not, why not?
  16. You speak with such certainty that this is the case. You will now accuse me of doing the same, however there is no independent reputable scientific evidence of ghosts or paranormal activity anywhere. So mine is a reasonable position to take. Unless you can show me otherwise and you can show me some independent scientific evidence?... If you see a ghost, the more logically thought pattern should be to think it is your mind playing tricks on you or someone conning you, it is quite a leap to think the laws of the universe have been suspended just for you, before you completely rule out the former.
  17. A large number in this thread have admitted to believing in ghosts... So do you think every human has a ghost? What about other now extinct forms of humanoids like Neanderthals? They were so close to humans they interbred. Where do you draw the line? Or does every animal have a ghost? Are there T-Rex ghosts? Are there ant ghosts? Are there bacteria ghosts? Just think how many animals exist today and then think how many forms of life have existed on earth in the last 3.7 billion years! You wouldn't be able to move without seeing a ghost.
  18. The reason it didn't happen...
  19. Because under independent scientific study nothing paranormal has held up. Can you show me otherwise? Which is the more likely... 1) the laws of the universe are suspended just for you OR 2) you have been conned, lied to or deluded by something or someone ??? It is quite a jump to use 1) ahead of 2).
  20. Well I don't have the ability to view the evidence in situ (ala Jonathan Creek) and it is just based on you description of events. However things fall over all the time, it is quite a leap to think the most likely explanation was that a ghost did it. If you witnessed the event and the objects defied the laws of known physics then yes, you may have a point. Even then I would still have doubts and suggest someone playing a trick on you is more likely than a ghost doing it. But objects falling over in a next door room that you haven't witnessed happen, doesn't strike me as particularly supernatural.
  21. Show me a medium that has been proven by an independent scientific study?
  22. Of course it can. Your first reaction shouldn't be "a ghost did it". There are plenty of other more plausible ways it could have happened. Good to hear she didn't charge. However giving people false hope to the vulnerable isn't right. Cold reading...
  23. No, they are a relic of early man struggling to understand life's mysteries by creating comforters and plugs to gaps in knowledge with the supernatural and still remain with the gullible today. She was either 1) sincerely deluding herself and those she "helped" or 2) is a knowing fraud. I hope she didn't charge people for the service. It is very easy to use cold reading techniques to make the vulnerable believe you are an effective medium and take advantage of them. So what? Some things fell of a shelf twice. Air currents, door shutting, poorly stacked items on a shelf. There are countless more plausible reasons for such an occurrence a rational human would make before jumping to the supernatural.
  24. That doesn't mean you can plug gaps in existing scientific knowledge with a bearded man sat on a cloud.
  25. You can't compare Sky sources vaguely claiming Ward is signing for Saints, with Friis-Hansen (the man in question) talking about his new role with direct quotes attributed to him in a national publication. To say... ...is a nonsense, as he clearly knows what the club is planning. He knows far more than any of us what Saints plan to do in the summer.
