  1. The club doesn't announce everything on the OS. FOr example last summer they appointed a new under 14 and under 16 coach full time. They didn't announce who they were. Friis-Hansen has clearly been talking to Cortese and/or Reed, and knows the clubs ambitions and plans for the summer. Why would he lie about all of this in an interview with a Danish paper? Someone has also edited the article so it doesn't make out as it did initially that Chamberlain is probably leaving, probably under instruction from the club.
  2. Opening sentence of the article... "The former midfielder Jacob Friis-Hansen has been appointed Director of the European Recruitment" later on it says... "Friis-Hansen is employed immediately as Director of the European Recruitment"
  3. They do a lot better than any mid table Championship side would! Rangers made the final of the Europa League in 2008. Both Old Firm teams have some notable wins in the Champions League, none of which a mid table Championship side would.
  4. So you think mid table Championship sides like Barnsley and Watford could get to the final of the Europa League and compete reasonably well in the Champions League group stages? If Celtic and Rangers moved to the Premier League they would both become top 8 clubs easily. Their fanbases and stadiums would put them very high up compared to English clubs, they would benefit from the extra money the Premier League has and the appeal of attracting players to the league. Will never happen though.
  5. "The Club has a clear ambition of getting directly to the Premier League, so we need to find five or six quality players over the summer. I will probably need to find three players that in theory are good enough for the Premier League, but have the mentality to play in the Championship in one or maximally two seasons, which is the time frame for promotion" Jakob Friis-Hansen, Southampton F.C. Head of European recruitment http://www.bold.dk/nyt/Friis-Hansen-skal-hjaelpe-Saints-i-PrL
  6. It isn't solely down to him. Cortese, Reed, Wilkins, Crosby and the improved scouting network all play a significant part.
  7. Barnard has played in the Premier League as well.
  8. Why is that relevant?
  9. But they sincerely believe they are doing what is best.
  10. If Saints were to do a Norwich they may not be needed long term so no point burdening the club with long contracts ala Forecast.
  11. What are they then in your interpretation of them?
  12. It isn't directly hurting them is it? It is denying them medical treatment under the delusion prater to their fictional deity will cure them.
  13. The commandments also state that the punishment for breaking most of them is death. Is that a good moral code?
  14. Are the commandments not part of the organised religion? They are meant to be the word of the the Judeo-Christian God.
  15. What if they decide that instead of seeking medical treatment for their child they would pray for them to be healed by God/Jesus? A large number of children have died from curable conditions due to this.
  16. So would you say the commandments are not evil or dangerous?
  17. Did I say every parent? No Did I say force? No - I said "to some extent forces" - there is a difference
  18. Pretty much every religious person "forces" to some extent their children into the same religion. This is why it needs ridiculing - it is dangerous and poisons the whole of society, people don't keep it to themselves no matter how much they say they don't.
  19. Has the Toronto blessing healed any amputees? It isn't in any way evidence for God, it is just a mass delusion. They think they will be effected in a certain way, so that is how they behave (in most cases sincerely I'm sure). Doesn't make them any less deluded though. If this is what God does to you, you should hope he doesn't exist... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xCeVZ6e2T0E Do you believe in unicorns? If not, why not?
  20. So? At least it is testable. How do you test for God? Do you believe in unicorns? If not, why not?
  21. - Watford are apparently the club he and his family support. - Norwich in the Premier League. I would question why he would choose Watford over Saints for football reasons, but not Norwich in the top flight.
  22. Should Saints ever play at the Olympic stadium it looks like we'll get a worse view than from the away end than at the Withdean... How you could make out what is going on from that far away I don't know!
  23. Is that appropriate for a forum that is used by children? I didn't want to see it either.
  24. Numerous media outlets are reporting it as Q.P.R. that made the bid.
  25. It is shame that this place isn't big enough for the billions of people it is required for or still in operation...
