  1. So after 100,000 years of modern man he decided that the best way to spread the message was to send his son to a remote part of the illiterate Middle East in a time when communication was terrible? The story of Jesus took 1,000 years to reach China, 1,5000 years to reach the Americas and 1,700 years to reach Australia. Not the most effective way of spreading his word is it? If there is an "all powerful God", he is inept at his job. Hence why else would they be thousands of religions recorded in human history?
  2. How intelligent is he? 99% of all species that have ever existed on Earth are now extinct, the majority of the universe in inhabitable. If God does exist, he isn't intelligent, he is incompetent and definitely doesn't care about trivial human matters. He didn't design the human eye very well did he?
  3. No they won't. Fry, MacAnthony and Ferguson have all said on a number of occasions now that they will be sold if they go up or not. For example... http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11719_6939981,00.html Huddersfield would be more of a threat in the Championship than Peterborough would be.
  4. I think he wants people to use the computer game Football Manager 2011 to look for good players that Saints could sign in real life. Everton already do... http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/news/uk-world-news/2008/11/14/everton-sign-deal-to-scout-for-world-s-best-players-in-football-manager-video-game-86908-20893667/ And a number of other real life managers and clubs have admitted to using it as an initial scouting tool. For example... http://www.russianfootballnow.com/2009/12/29/dinamos-virtual-scouting-rubins-transfer-itch-and-some-turkish-traffic/#more-1798
  5. They could have made life easier by just using a photo with Puncheon in it on his own.
  6. Well if you didn't know what Puncheon looked like or what Blackpool's kit was, then that number is a vital piece of information when a photo shows two players.
  7. Di Canio is a fascist. How would that be good for dressing room harmony at Saints? I don't want him anywhere near the club! Nor should anyone else... In his autobiography he praised Mussolini as "basically a very principled, ethical individual" who was "deeply misunderstood".
  8. Why do you think Chamberlain needs to be sold to finance it? Adkins, Cortese and Friis-Hansen have all indicated there is money available to buy players.
  9. The worst think about the Tommy Forecast deal, is not that he was given a 5 year contract, it is that he is part of what Saints got for cashing in on the Gareth Bale clauses early. I could put up the 5 year deal if Saints still had a sell on clause for Bale, sadly they don't anymore.
  10. Watch it again...
  11. Would you sell him even if he didn't request it and a bid of £15m came in? If the Liebherr's are spending money anyway and have the resources to do so it is daft to sell players you would then struggle to replace. Saints would be weakened in right midfield, they wouldn't be able to buy a player better than Chamberlain. The only way Saints fans will see players as good as Walcott, Bale and Chamberlain is by bringing them through the academy. To actually buy them when they are good isn't going to happen.
  12. If that money is being spent regardless of player transfers, why sell him?
  13. Loan... http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~2170637,00.html (which was extended) and then transfer... http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~2254344,00.html
  14. http://www.skybet.com/betting/football/npower-championship/npower-championship-winner-11-12/e12932908.html Saints joint 3rd favourites even though West Ham, Forest and Cardiff have been added. Only one of Swansea/Reading, the two relegated Premier League teams and one League One playoff team to be added.
  15. Man City brought Mills, he was unlikely to stay.
  16. Turkish beat me by seconds.
  17. I though he looked very impressive last night and in the first leg. As he has done all season! He was the Swansea fan's player of the year. A team that came 3rd in the League above us!
  18. He hated playing second fiddle to an extremely talented 17 year old.
  19. West Brom announced plans to increase capacity yesterday "regardless of divisional status". The proposed Hawthorns... Add them to the list of Wolves, Birmingham, West Ham and Hull that are all planning to do the same. The new Molineux (work starts this summer regardless of whether they are relegated or not)... Saints already know they can get 30k+ crowds, no need to wait around to see if we do in the Premier League. May as well start the long process of planning applications now.
  20. Why is it a surprise Rangers would want him? The Scottish Premier League is poor and Puncheon has shown he can do a reasonable job in the English Premier League (3 goals in 5 starts for a relegation threatened side). In any case, at the moment it just looks like agent talk as shown in that Sky article.
  21. He is leaving regardless of Peterborough going up or not according to people at the club.
  22. Their current support is much bigger than ours... - we had a 22k average in the 3rd tier - they had a 36k average in the 1st tier Also just because their support can't get a ticket for White Hart Lane, that doesn't mean they don't spend money. Shirt sales and other merchandising would be huge compared to Saints. Spurs are a large London clubs with fans all over the country and worldwide, Saints are a provincial team with fans largely from the city itself and the surrounding region (Hampshire/Dorset etc). They want a 55k to 60k stadium, and they have the fans to fill it every week if it were to be built tomorrow. Saints would only ever be 40k to 50k in the best possible circumstances.
  23. What do you mean? Their surplus support isn't going anywhere, they can't get a ticket and there is a huge waiting list for season tickets. Hence why they want a new larger stadium. It is a bit like saying Saints in the year 2000 only had 15k fans, give them a stadium twice the size a year later and they showed the fanbase could fill it. The extra fans for Saints weren't going elsewhere before St Mary's, St Mary's just meant the club could fit more in.
  24. How can Spurs get more than 36k in a 36k capacity stadium?
  25. I need to buy a new one of these...(maybe a 4th duck aswell) My inspiration... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fHDCSIJiWCM
