Samuels is a complete and utter bellend who has always had an agenda with us. 'The fans don't sing her name', no but they do sing her dad's name long and proud every game, her name only came into the public domain 'officially' on Saturday. 'inevitable glass ceiling', 'Shaw to Chelsea', NC only here on a stepping stone 'to the next level'. blah, blah, blah.

The how much will we spend in the summer thread

Decent read. Really struggling to get my head around us signing Victor Wanyama, surely the big boys will be all over him? -

How would you break down 'more than 50m'? 20-20-10? 25-15-5-5? 20-15-10-5? Seems an awful lot of money? Can we get 20+ players to Saints with no European football to offer? I said 30+, maybe something like 18-8-5-4 and maybe one or two 'frees' (who aren't really 'free' at all)... ? -

I would expect us to spend a fair bit, NC will be expecting to move up at least one level next season (8th-12th), he might even be considering a double jump up to 5th-8th. He will have seen we have a decent enough starting XI, very little depth or cover, and we very are short on the top top quality players, the players that will make a difference in the tight games. He has resolved his differences and appears to have got his 'ambitious' plans signed off, we have now secured the 'new' PL finances (which overall are likely to push transfer fees even higher), I could see us spending £30m-plus quite easily. -

That white/gold is the worst football 'kit' I've ever seen.

Any thoughts on the baby Merc? Not sure if it's even out yet, can't think I've see none. The write-ups are a bit mixed, but he's tempted by something a bit different (that'll be the 'same' but different).

So who would we want in if MP does go ?

Venables and MLT dream team. -
I'm no car buff, a mate of mine, younger, has just been offered his first company car. He gets to choose from a BMW1, Audi A3, new Mercedes A series, Ford Focus; all diesel, all in fairly basic spec. What's the story? All look pretty decent to me, which is the pick?

I haven't done a Just Giving page (probably why I haven't raised any money yet!). I'm always happy to support other people's pages but I feel a bit weird about putting up a page asking random strangers/friends to give me money to do something that I want to do and will enjoy doing. Figured if I sold my tickets on I would be giving up something myself or making some sort of sacrifice and the 'sponsor' will get something for their money.

I am considering selling mine for Charity. We are doing the London Nightrider bike ride next month with a team from work and I've committed myself to raising a decent wedge of money but have left it all rather late. We are riding for Junior Diabetes research and for one of the members of staff who's son has this condition and she is involved with this charity. I have three tickets together towards the top of block 39. I will consider selling them for serious offers but I won't sell them for silly money - I would rather go to the game and sort the fundraising out later - any use to anybody?

Good Luck To Hammond, Bridge & Philips Tonight!!!

What have the Romans ever done for us? Second goal was as good a goal as I've seen all season. -

It's not beyond the realms that all three of next season's promoted sides could go straight back down. -

Anybody on here go, sounded like an exciting game? Gutted for Dover and I would like to have gone but I had a prior engagement in the Sunderland area. Any idea on numbers? Kids in school who went were saying Dover had nearly a thousand down there? Sounds a lot to me but I've heard that from several people, decent effort if it's correct? -
Maybe Lallana's recent poor run has pushed them over the edge?

Liebhers want Cortese out - some sort of rift -unlikelyish - but he could/would be replaced Liebhers want the club to be more financially independent - they won't fund silly-money CL push - want to preserve financial viability/stability - possible; NC strops off. Liebhers want out - I thought the Plan A exit strategy was always that NC would take over ownership, via his loadsamoney banking pals? Maybe they are both bored? Good while it lasted, but the reality's dawning that despite booting our best manager for years and recruiting new Euro whizz-kid it will still be a very long and expensive road to take the club on to the next level. SFC, never easy, never dull.

Don't forget to print 10, 000 extra tickets to represent all the new seats we're going to need, and you'll also need a pair of giant foam hands with 'look at me' written on them. (there were some shocking fancy dresses yesterday, not even a theme FFS. Why do people do this?)

Sunderland 1-1 SAINTS // Post-Match Reaction
sandwichsaint replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Good day out, Sunderland might be grim but it's got some of the friendliest natives and the most welcoming pubs in the PL. I thought Saints fans were excellent, pretty much non stop where we were, left hand side, a few rows back from Mikey-D or so the shirt said. Atmosphere from the home fans absolutely abysmal (again), one massive roar when they scored and literally that was the only time we heard them all game. I couldn't hear or see any chanting/singing in any part of their ground, people that moan about SMS really do need to go and look at some of these away grounds. Game was surprisingly low-key from their point of view, they never got started and we did a job on them the whole first half without really threatening, a couple of smart stops from Mignolet apart. First 20 of the second half they upped it and played quicker and more direct but again without threatening, didn't see the deflection live, just saw Bardsley welt it across Boruc and into the far sidenet. Great response from Saints, got back into playing our football, deserved equaliser, and looked the more likely in the last 10 minutes. Shaw was excellent, back to his rampaging best, what a talent. I thought Cork had a very busy first half, playing deep in front of the centre backs and making lots of challenges and interceptions (was he injured again, or tactical?). Morgan very good and Davis got through plenty of work. Punch and JWP also effective when they came on. We were only a decent finish or two away from winning that game very comfortably, we looked like the home team for large parts and Sunderland had no real answers. -
Drove up overnight, kipped in the car, breakfast on the seafront at Roker in full sunshine. Hissing down now, Sunderland is pub central, natives v friendly. Just need a result now. 0-1 lambert, you heard it here first.

What an interesting read, never seen this website before so well done to whoever posted this up. And Davis filling in as a front sweeper to cover Cork's surges fd, well I never.

Premier League games 'free' for BT Broadband customers
sandwichsaint replied to trousers's topic in The Lounge
So, for an old techno-phobe like me, what does this actually mean? I currently have Sky and I am also a BT internet customer, but not on cable. I understand the concept of watching football on a PC or a tablet or a phone. How does one watch 'BT Sport' on the television? Presumably not via satellite and a Sky box? Does one need some sort of BT Vision box? Do I automatically get it or do I have to 'opt-in?' Seems worth having, 18 first pick games plus FA Cup, for free, what's not to like? If anybody could answer any of this, brilliant. PS Who are the Beatles? -
Ye, LOL, every dog and all that.
