  1. I'll have them Norm if you can bring them to SMS on a match day? pm me.
  2. Don't let Dalek see this, yo-yo strategy and all that.
  3. Life, death, taxes and football. I'll say forever too. Probably get video refs and central timing sometime in the next 100 years as well.
  4. Ludicrous.
  5. I'm not sure I'd be pinning all my hopes on Shaw coming back and saving us. He's been injured and ill recently and looking at his last two performances may well have hit a wall, as a 17 year old he will have taken a massive physical and emotional hit since making his debut. He's done absolutely brilliantly but I would be looking to pull him out for 3 or 4 games and hopefully get him right for the last 6 or so. Unfortunately the alternative is too dire to contemplate, think we really do need to seriously consider either Forren at LB for a run of games or switching Clyne over and playing FR at RB.
  6. Literally impossible, no team at the bottom could ever win 3 out of 4 games. I read it on here yesterday. Fact.
  7. We are a better team with Lambert as captain.
  8. You forgot 5) the noisy neighbours, and also 6) those who say this site is a pale imitation of it's S4E heyday. I'm a 6), there really are so few posters and so few threads that maybe we ought to consider doing something differently? I recall the early Ugly where they mixed the football, music, politics, and fashion threads all on the same page. Guess that was just the next step on from fanzines and was of it's time? Could that work again?
  9. I hope you are taking this further, sickening in 2013.
  10. photoshop, or just a large head?
  11. 'Didn't see anything going on', let's add Myopia to the charge sheet too.
  12. Anybody up for taking some tins into the garden area? Just for old times sake like.
  13. At a slight tangent, why would your baby be 'at risk' if said infant was carried around in a car with a defective temperature gauge? Honestly, I just don't get it.
  14. Get a grip people! We've mixed it pretty well with top 6 sides since Xmas, of course it will be hard, they have it all to play for, plus the saggy effect. We need an Everton-style start to blow them away in the first 20 mins, we are a much better footballing side than them, we have a better defence than them, a better midfield than them, and more firepower than them. They are bottom (for a reason) and with two wins all season. Last week was a blip, away after a two week lay-off, we were out-battled and out-played by a decent team (that hasn't happened too often recently) and a team who needed a fair bit of lady luck to secure their home win. We should win tomorrow, yes it will be hard, yes there will be moments along the way, but I will be gutted with anything less than a win tomorrow. 4-0 Saints.
  15. Much better than me, I've had us down for 27 wins and we certainly haven't won 10 yet .
  16. All yours, saw your pm, can you pm me contact details.
  17. I have one spare, block 39, great atmosphere. £35, meet outside ground. pm me or put details on here.
  18. Lawrie Mac - Diary of a season. excellent book.
  19. What do I know, I liked Euell and Telfer too.
  20. Can we see a chart for 'all goals' before we decide if we have a problem?
  21. Lallana is an excellent player but can be a little inconsistent. Not sure if we've got quite the right mix of road-sweepers and violinists at the moment, particularly away from home.
  22. Not sure we'll ever know will we? Went into the game on the back of a 'foot injury' and hadn't played for 3 weeks. Apparently he had a temperature/virus/sore throat in the lead up. Maybe he took a knock, no sign of that but he was involved in several bruising encounters in the first half. On a yellow and finding Debuchy and Guittierez a real handful, risk of a red? I'd go for the red-card option personally.
  23. He'll be fine, he's just waiting for the other players to get on his wavelength. Seriously, he just seems to be a complete fish out of water in the PL. Good technical ability but **** poor decision making most of the time. Does himself no favours with refs when he goes down so easily but on the other boot, he gets no protection from refs at all; other teams just seem to double up on him and push, shove, kick, trip, bundle him to the ground and he hardly ever gets a free kick. If he was as 'good' as he is supposed to be you would think he would be learning and improving from game to game, unfortunately while most players have come on leaps and bounds virtually no improvement from his first performance to today. Let's get shot at the end of the season, wish him well, and move on. Happens all the time in football, he's certainly not irreplaceable.
  24. I think I've seen this before, any mortgage brokers on here or anybody else in that line of work? Currently tied into a pretty poor deal with my current lot (4.49% fixed for another 18 months) and I would like to pay them up and start again at a better rate and with higher repayments. Currently paying 905 month, we owe 32,800 plus a buy-out fee of 1,310 so need 34k to pay them up. They have offered a lifetime tracker at 3.79, that would take 38 months x £975, or 30 months x £1220. Trying to look around on the interweb at alternatives but most calculators won't go below 5 years repayments. Presumably it is possible to get shorter terms than 60 months (?). Ideally I would like to get the payments down to 24 months at c1500, I could afford this. Would an offset mortgage be any help in this situation? Could prob get my hands on 15k cash to off-set but would have to take it out of ISAs to do that .... would that be cost effective? (Could put the 15k off the mortgage, pay the remainder off in 12 months, and then run without any savings/reserves for 12 months but not keen on that) On a tangent I could get a 5 yr fix that gives 60 payments of 629, half-tempted by this approach but Mrs S wants it out the way asap , thoughts?
  25. Arteta better than Morgan this season? Monreal better than Shaw? not seen much of him but he must be good! Sagna?? absolute dross since he broke his leg (he used to be good), wouldn't get near Clyne on current form.
