Norwich City 0-0 Southampton // Post-Match Reaction
sandwichsaint replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Decent battling point, 0-0 looked about right from what I saw. Ramirez looked good for 45 minutes (call me old-fashioned but I expect a marquee signing to be able to play 90 minutes). Clattenberg awful, got both penalties wrong (PMSL the lino gives nothing for the one that was given, ref goes over to discuss it and comes back with a penalty, how does that work?) Luke Shaw's running on empty? He's made mistakes in his last three games that he didn't make at all in his first 10. Shocking miss from AL, and JRod is struggling to convert very presentable chances, they mocked when I said we should buy a striker in the window. Would have cost a bit but a 10 goal man would have guaranteed our survival from where we were then. Who is going to score the goals to keep us up? COYRS! ps Well done Boruc! The most professional player in the team, always one step ahead of the game (loved Fonte's reaction to the penalty save). -
Mauricio Pochettino's Norwich Reaction

Was he right to go on the pitch tho? I don't think so, forget 'passion' and all that, made us look small time and desperate IMHO. If you disagree, what do you think of Holloway today? Totally lost it, I like Holloway but he looked a plum today (even tho he was completely in the right re Varney), -

This, he's been excellent and looks good for another 2-3 seasons i would think, how old is he, guessing 34-ish? -
Team playing well under Pochettino: MYTH

Maybe when you next post, pause, read what you've just written, and ask yourself 'Why have I just written this crock?' -
Really good CB, mobile, excellent reader, very good 1v1 on the ground. Distribution a bit hit and miss. Needs to play next to a real brick outhouse, wins everything in the air, type of CB. Good signing, now let's get a big unit to play next to him.

I'll have them Norm if you can bring them to SMS on a match day? pm me.

Don't let Dalek see this, yo-yo strategy and all that.

Life, death, taxes and football. I'll say forever too. Probably get video refs and central timing sometime in the next 100 years as well.

I'm not sure I'd be pinning all my hopes on Shaw coming back and saving us. He's been injured and ill recently and looking at his last two performances may well have hit a wall, as a 17 year old he will have taken a massive physical and emotional hit since making his debut. He's done absolutely brilliantly but I would be looking to pull him out for 3 or 4 games and hopefully get him right for the last 6 or so. Unfortunately the alternative is too dire to contemplate, think we really do need to seriously consider either Forren at LB for a run of games or switching Clyne over and playing FR at RB.

Literally impossible, no team at the bottom could ever win 3 out of 4 games. I read it on here yesterday. Fact.

We are a better team with Lambert as captain.

You forgot 5) the noisy neighbours, and also 6) those who say this site is a pale imitation of it's S4E heyday. I'm a 6), there really are so few posters and so few threads that maybe we ought to consider doing something differently? I recall the early Ugly where they mixed the football, music, politics, and fashion threads all on the same page. Guess that was just the next step on from fanzines and was of it's time? Could that work again?

I hope you are taking this further, sickening in 2013.

At a slight tangent, why would your baby be 'at risk' if said infant was carried around in a car with a defective temperature gauge? Honestly, I just don't get it. -
Get a grip people! We've mixed it pretty well with top 6 sides since Xmas, of course it will be hard, they have it all to play for, plus the saggy effect. We need an Everton-style start to blow them away in the first 20 mins, we are a much better footballing side than them, we have a better defence than them, a better midfield than them, and more firepower than them. They are bottom (for a reason) and with two wins all season. Last week was a blip, away after a two week lay-off, we were out-battled and out-played by a decent team (that hasn't happened too often recently) and a team who needed a fair bit of lady luck to secure their home win. We should win tomorrow, yes it will be hard, yes there will be moments along the way, but I will be gutted with anything less than a win tomorrow. 4-0 Saints.

Much better than me, I've had us down for 27 wins and we certainly haven't won 10 yet .

Can we see a chart for 'all goals' before we decide if we have a problem?
