  4. I have a spare for tomorrow, I have provisionally offered it to 'Norm' on here via PM and text but he's not got back to me yet. If he doesn't get back by tea time I will definitely have one tkt available, high in Block 39, good atmosphere. £35, meet outside before the game. Anybody interested pm me or leave email address here. If Norm doesn't come back then I will be in touch with you early evening.
  5. Chuck in a Spanish wildcard (striker?) and we could be top 7/8.
  6. I'm looking fd to the Reading v Liverpool minutes silence.
  7. Totally agree, when are we going to stop giving almost limitless amounts of money to the banks, the ultimate failing businesses?
  8. Liverpool vs. West Ham ....... 2-0 Spuds vs. Everton ........ 1-1 Chelsea vs. Sunderland ... 4-1 Newcastle vs. Fulham ........ 2-0 QPR vs. Wigan ....... 0-1 maybe?
  9. Really good footballler at Brighton. Liked or loathed at Liverpool, but always a good player. Total embarressment at the BEEB, should have gone 10 years ago.
  10. Not at all sure NA will be 'happy' at Reading, Noddy club and he deserves better. A part of him will always be thinking what might have been and he will never get Reading to the level that we are now. Would have loved to have sen him go to a proper club; Leeds, wolves, Forest all have more potential and challenge than Reading.
  11. That's a young Mick Channon!
  12. Together as One
  13. Eric Dier? Slightly better than Fred Rank.
  14. LOL! Always read to the end of a thread before posting a reply.
  15. Agree totally but what I don't get is what is the linesman's jurisdiction in these cases? The lino on Newcastle's left back would have had a good view, and to a lesser extent the linesman on the opposite side would also have seen it? We had exactly the same situation on Saturday, Coutinho followed through with a sneaky nasty one on Clyne literally about three steps behind the refs back, the ref couldn't see it (you can argue about his position but on a point of fact he couldn't see it), the linesman on the Kingsland side had full view of it from about 30 metres away, again he didn't bring the ref's attention to it. Are these linesmen slacking on the job or do they not have power to intervene?
  16. Mick Channon testomonial, 32-33k in the Dell that night, including me, 1000's locked out including my dad.
  17. Agree, on a horses-for-courses basis. Lambert has been very effective when he's come off the bench v City and Chelsea away. Can we replicate this tactic at home? I don't know but we can hardly do worse than we did v QPR LOL. We have lots of good attacking options but are struggling for a blend, and for somebody to stick it in the net! Reckon Glenn Murray in the window could have done a job for us in front of any of our midfield three.
  18. Neil Young, Man City v Leicester, 1-0. Man City in red and black stripes, on a black and white TV.
  19. Nice one Steeleye, will let you know either way at 19-00.
  20. You still looking? I have one spare and will give you first shout ..... Block 38, £35, meet outside ground tomorrow. Can give you up to 7-00 tonight (tried to pm but you are not a pm person). If you don't come back by 7-00 does anybody else want it?
  21. Good grief. The opinions of 'Premier League top-flight managers' versus the collective wisdom of a mongboard? There can only be one winner here surely?
