The last 25 league games we have led at halftime....
sambosa75 replied to Kaiser Soze's topic in The Saints
I'd like that broken down please... Impressive if true. -
They rated their fans performance as 11? I was in Block 42 and never even heard them.

Lambert got 2 assists against Leeds. If he does that every game I don't care if he doesn't score a single goal all season. No doubt some of our dullard fans will though...
-
I would jizz my pants if we signed Maynard and Long.

This whole S.C.U.M. thing is ******. Up until the late 90's we called them scummers just as much as they did us.

It's all to do with Ashley. You can't sell an academy graduate for £35m in January, promise 100% of it is going back in to the team in the summer and then not spend anything without unrest.

De Ridder awarded De Graafschap player of the season

Nice bunch of flowers though. Bet he was chuffed with that prize. -
Me neither. I'm quite fond of a Barclays every now and again.

The real quote was "The truth is they want a younger, cheaper, better player but don't want to spend any money... it's genius really haha"

Dont hack the plaster cast off on your ankle with the bread knife just so you can go out. It's a Monday night FFS. Town will be dead and you have a broken ankle. The NHS will refuse to replace the cast tomorrow and you will go on to have a bad ankle for the rest of your life because you didn't let it heal properly.

Barton Is a top, top player and would walk in to Arsenal's, Man Utd's or Tottenham's sides. He IS maturing too and would relish the challenge and pressure of playing for one of the big guns.

We are the worlds best side in English conditions and pitches. I still think we need to go to India and South Africa and win series there though to be considered the best. But Beating India by 319 runs is a phenomenal achievement.

Newcastle fans will be up in arms about this. He is their best player and the one player that actually seems to care about the club since Caroll and Nolan were forced out. The way Mike Ashley is running that club is absolutely awful.
-
I think he'd prefer a Marr-s Bar.

Yes perhaps I would, at the time. The difference is I wouldn't still be harping on about it. Delap's goal truly was better with a superior technique but it didn't warrant dedicating an advert to for the national newspaper and it doesn't really get talked about much on here.

Brighton away I was camping in the New Forest. We'd been at a pub watching Sky Sports News for most of the day but left with 15 mins to go thinking Saints weren't going to get a result. Got back to the campsite, put the radio on and after about 2 minutes of us slagging off the players, Connolly scored which resulted in jubilant scenes. Was funny watching little pockets of campers in the campsite going mental. Then Fonte scored. Car horns were going off, everything. Absolutely brilliant, massive bundle in the middle of the camp site with about 20 other blokes I'd never met before. To make things even better, there was a big group of skates with a pompey flag in the middle of the field who got abused for the rest of the night.

Really isn't that much of a problem. Jaidi might not withstand 46 games at this level in a season but for 50% of our games he is still the ideal partner for Fonte.

People slag the Rooney goal off because he speculatively threw a shin at it and it ended up in the top corner. It required zero technique. Delap's goal was better but does it get repeated ad infinitum? No, because it was Rory Delap. Typical British press always quick to label someone world class if they are British, Jack Wilshere apparently is world class because he can pass a ball more than 10 yards consistently.
-
Wish people would stop spunking their load over Rooney's goal. He shinned it FFS. It could have gone anywhere. If Darren Fletcher did it, it wouldn't have got anywhere near the goal of the season.

To be fair, whilst I don't agree, he is known for his involvement in animal rights issues and I'd imagine he's seen for himself the conditions the animals reared for us at McDonalds and KFC have to endure before being slaughtered. I can imagine them being absolutely horrific.

When I first moved to Spain with my girlfriend we were briefly living with her parents. I was using her Dads computer when I stumbled across his favourites. Among them were 3 websites for massage parlours and whore houses in the local vicinity... This was about a week after I moved over. It made the next couple of months rather awkward but I decided to keep schtum.

Went to Natraj in Romsey that everyone has been raving about. Have to admit I was underwhelmed. Nice enough restaurant, food was decent and service was acceptable but really was nothing to write home about. Give me the Sunrise in Chandlers Ford any day of the week!!

Dann, Curtis Davies or Ridgewell please.

On the subject of saints fans abroad, went on a stag do to benidorm last month and one of the dealers on the strip sits behind my best mate at the northam. Saw us walking past him and starting sing "he plays on the left, he plays on the riiiight..." at my mate. Very funny.

Only recently bought FIFA 11. Anyone else really frustrated about how poor every players balance seems to be?
