The way I look at it is this; Pompey is in the rear view mirror. The more time that passes between now and the future, the further away in the rear view mirror they will be. Once they are out of sight from the rear view mirror, I will remember them, but not care two hoots about them. for the meanwhile, they can win games of football, lose them, pay their bills, not pay their bills, but as I far as I care, we have left them behind..... So long, suckers....

Without a shadow of doubt, it will rain. I can 100% guarantee that it will rain. I am willing to wager my entire empire (all £3.50 of it) on it raining I just can't say where

Tasteful. Classy. Sums up the difference between us and them.

Come on chaps. Time for us to step up to the plate. One of our own needs £70,000, let's get our hands in our pockets.... I'm in. Cash donated. Good luck Banger jnr.

I watched something similar many years ago. Came down on a neighbours garage roof. I fished it off with a 2 iron and it turned out to be a home made Chinese lantern. very disappointing.

Happy birthday and thanks for posting. I recognise big bits of me in your description of a working, stressing, growing, Englishman. I was at my daughter's 8th birthday pool party recently and the mother in law mocked my growing girth, so I've embarked on the first diet of my life. Need to lose 2.5 stone and lower the bp. so far lost 12 pounds, and would be quite happy to stop, but reading your post does add some much needed determination. Sincerely, thank you and best wishes for your road to recovery

Who do you think you are kidding Balram Chanrai, If you think we're on the run? We're the FL who will stop your little game. We're the FL who will make you think again. 'Cause who do you think you are kidding Mr Chanrai, If you think you're in League One? Trevor Birch goes off to town, with briefcase and a pen, When he gets home this ev'ning, He'll find Pompey's minus ten. 'Cause who do you think you are kidding Mr Chanrai, If you think you're in League One?

Virgin appeals to me, but I'm put off by being there a dozen years ago and their service being pants, is it still pants? -

Thanks, I'm sure some of the £80 is catchup funds from movie rentals and the like, but you're right i'm being fleeced. meh. I'll might go the re-negotiate route before waving the two fingers, but having been fleeced, waving two fingers feels like the right thing to do.... -

No dont have sky (before you fall off chair for me paying £80 for phone, broadband and BT vision). I hate changing broadband service provider as it has always given me a period of downtime, which I am loathed to have, but I do feel right royally ripped off at the mo -
My current deal with BT finishes in August. I've had it for years, having got truly wound up by Sky's incessant price increases, but BT have followed a similar vein and my DD with these robbers is now up to £80 per month. What is everyone else using, how much does it cost and is it any good? The only thing I need to be fussy about is the download limit, as I can easily grab 40GB+ per month (without the porn before anyone asks)

maybe. But I guarantee that if you have a son who will only eat pizza and chips, with a parent who cares, then they wont grow up only eating pizza and chips. At some point the child's pallet will change and the parent will see their perseverance win. Keep trying. our taste buds change. I have a very close friend who cannot eat cauliflower, as a 40 year old bloke, but it doesnt stop him feeding it to his boys. ultimately, there is a world of difference between eating a brilliantly balanced diet, and eating a diet that wont kill you I should know, I drink more than i should :-)

to answer your question, no it's not normal. Although it does make me shudder that soooooo many people are impressed that my 6 and 8 year old daughters will eat mussels, rare steak, stilton, olives etc. I think if you were brought up trying different foods (with no bad consequence if you don't like it), then your children will do the same. Our two kids love brussel sprouts, love green veg, love carrots, and of course love the occassional McDonalds.

Not bad prices for them, but the headline grabing 70% discount is a bit misleading. £299 for returning adult season ticket holders, but £399 for new sales. £75 for kids. Good for them on that score, but £400 for a new season ticket in that ground, and at that level, makes our £600 look good value.

I feel sorry for the lesser paid footballers. Like the rest of us, not having any money go into the bank at the end of the month is cause for pain when money comes out at the start of the following month. That said, it is a free market and they are entitled to go and work somewhere else. Perhaps the wages are a bit less, but at least you get paid on time. Pretty bad timing I would suggest for the imminent FL AGM. Shame.

If they made the ends meet, wouldn't it be a really small pitch?

Abso-blooomin'-lutely. If he thinks he has to worry about what to do next, it is because the Governing Body is failing to do it's first duty, to govern. Put the governance in place and everything else is easy.

They'd have to approach Cortese first

I didnt say it was easier, just that I found it easier. The problem I have always had with ignoring the decimal point and then putting it back is making sure you put it back in the right place. So, is 3.50 x 3.25 three or four decimals places. Obviously it is three, before anyone shouts, but for some people they will always think it's four. I was taught units, tens, hundreds and thousands in school, but today they teach little people in little jumps and bigs jumps (as they get used to units and tens). it's a strange science learning things, particularly as an adult, as you will no longer have the luxury of time and repetition....

Volume of a regular shaped object = length x width x depth (sometimes it can be easier to think in terms of a slab of concrete rather than a hole, but the methodology is the same). In terms of multiplication with decimal places I always find it easier to break out the decimals so 3.5 x 3.25 becomes (3 x 3) and (.5 x 3.0) and (3.0 x .25) and (.5 x .25) (so whole number from left side x whole number from right side decimal place number from left side x whole number from right side whole number from left side x decimal place number from right side decimal place number from left side x decimal place number from right side) all numbers have multiplied all other numbers which will give you (for reference 0.5 = a half, 0.25 = a quarter) (9) and (half of 3.0 = 1.5) and (a quarter of 3.0 = .75) and (half of .25 = .125) 9 + 1.5 + .75 + .125 = 11.375 hope that helps but shout if not

I used to work with a skate who bought one, he couldnt care less about the foolishness of the idea, he was quids in. When he bought it, he said to me, "as long as i dont die before 5 years are up, I am quids in". He wasn't even bothered about relegation. (fair enough all footie fans would still keep going) But, I guess he didnt bank on the club dying before he did
