He's about as far as it's geographically possible to get from Eddie Howe. That's avoidance on a massive scale but fair play to him.
-
Not really that relevant these days either, especially at the higher levels. Historically has been an issue though and I remember talking to the ex Pompey keeper John Milkins when he used to run Pot Black above the old C&A in town. He was desperate to become a mechanic when he retired from playing and went round various garages effectively offering to work for free just to get some experience but no one was interested. So I guess players would be at a bit of a disadvantage trying to get a "proper" job when they're starting 15-20 years after everyone else. Probably why many of them used their capital to run a business or run pubs. Anyway, completely off topic and for the most part I agree with you.

Bloody Argentina got another good draw in the world cup.
-
Yeah, despite being a big lad, he's not really a physical player, or one that often gets on the end of crosses either. To be fair to him he's pretty good at linking play and, as you say, he can finish but I think a lot of fans would get frustrated with him. Not surprising but more suited to a possession game than anything else.

finish a sentence if I could remember what I started talking about?

What's a nuptie?

Larios at a lower level? Is there an under 5ft league then?
-
Yeah, linked in the summer. One time wonderkid who got a big move to Monaco but hasn't done anything of note since. Doubt there's much truth in it and looks proper gash now. Edit: Ignore me, I'm thinking of Willem Guebbels.
-
But he didn't play in the championship? Edit: Forgot he played against Ipswich but not like he really had many minutes and that was in the middle of the whole transfer saga.

Yeah, but apart from that........

I see this quite often with Trump apologists but I could turn it on it's head and say frankly I'm amazed that some people can look past the fact he refused to accept the result of a legitimate democratic election and incited an insurrection. The US was Mike Pence away from having a dictator - that's unbelievable. Even if I was further to the right on the political spectrum, I don't think I could justify an argument that effectively started with "But apart from that........"

Michael Sheen comes very close to being an impersonator but he's always impressed me. Guess I should mention Jack Nicholson in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. Physically very different from the character in the book but totally embodies the spirit of the role.

Except I didn’t you weird fuck. Tell you what mate, why not reply directly to any of my posts?

Yes, completely agree - I wasn't really making much of a point except that the US hasn't always been the defender of democracy it likes to pretend it is. In the case of Venezuela I think it's a useful excuse and not much else.
-
Hasn't always stopped the US before, just ask Salvador Allende.

TBF if he's not playing then getting him to do carpentry isn't a bad idea.
-
Can't see it myself - he's not big enough or quick enough for the premier league. He could be the best ball playing cb going (not that there was any evidence of him being anything special with the ball here) but as a cb he's just not physically cut out for it at higher levels.
-
Completely agree. I think the reputation comes from being a bit more comfortable on the ball than a lot of cbs. People look at that and seem to place more importance on it than good defending (same with 'keepers too). Having said that, I don't think Edwards showed any great composure for us either. Good luck to him and all that but I can't see him being anything other than an average championship defender.

Vance is a gaslighting cunt

Wouldn't have thought so given we signed Downs when Stewart was fit. I do know what you're getting at though.
-
Didn't someone (Alfie House?) say that we'd only contemplate getting Downs out the door if we had a replacement lined up? If that's the case then hopefully we'll start hearing about a new striker soon.

Wow, you’re brave. Bet you’ve been waiting a couple of weeks just so you could have a pop. How sad. Anyway, as the quote suggests winning games is the only thing that really counts so yeah criticism is justified at the moment. Quite why that needs to be pointed out is beyond me. Shame you didn’t also read my posts that I wouldn’t have given Tonda the job until at least 10 games in, or the part where I said I had no idea how long the winning run would last and if it didn’t then he’d deserve some stick. Still, you’ve been waiting long enough so I hope that made you happy

Artists you should (apparently) like but don't

I could have put Bob Dylan in my original list too. I don't really like any of his songs with the exception of Subterranean Homesick Blues. Quite like All along the watchtower but only the Hendrix version. -
Mild cheddar. I'm not 'avin any of that foreign muck or cheeses with pretentious delusions of sophistication eaten by sandal wearing, latte drinking lefties.

You had to edit that? Least it’s under 10,000 words this time.
