Yes his passing ability is not as good as Cork, but give VW a break Palace left the grass a little longer to try and stop our passing game and the pitch was very bumper. I think VW was excellent today and dealt with a suicide pass from Boruc late in the game very well.

The introduction of Gallagher improved our overall play as Rickie had nothing more to give. Its hard playing upfront on your own with little help from the Ref.

You do have to laugh at some posts. Passes came up short because Palace kept the grass longer. The pitch was also very bumpy. I think that was a brilliant effort in very difficult circumstances. Lots of long balls and a very physical match. Well done Saints. Jay-Rod MoM for his opportunism.

Legend is a very over used word very rarely used correctly. Legend, typically, is a short episodic, traditional, highly ecotypified historicized narrative performed in a conversational mode, reflecting on a psychological level a symbolic representation of folk belief and collective experiences and serving as a reaffirmation of commonly held values of the group to whose tradition it belongs. Lallana requires more history to become a real legend.

Ramirez played well against Austria when he came on. They seemed to accommodate him.

Laudrup is a footballing genius. I think the manager of Southampton is MoPo at the moment and any talk about replacements is very undignified.

I would love to see if this could actually work. Certainly more mobile up front, but who's going to win the 1 v 1 upfront. Rickie is the outlet ball. Jay-Rod just can't hold the ball up or link up like Lambert and Ramirez isn't great at pressing

If we were in Europe next season. I would build the European team around Ramirez and Osvaldo.

The position for Ramirez is behind Rickie or Jay-rod. So who do you drop to facilitate Gaston? Lallana?, Jay-rod?, Rickie? If you remove Davis or Cork/Wanyama we become more creative, but also become very exposed at the back. So if you want Gaston to start one of Rickie or Jay must be dropped. Seriously drop Rickie??? Rickie makes every tick. Jay brings speed and great link up play (not to mention fantastic energy and pressing) In all honesty Ramirez is a great player, but should never have signed for Saints. Our style of play if just wrong for his game and you can't adapt him. Sell in the summer.

I think MoPo will have learnt alot by our FA Cup exit. Strength of squad. Players good enough for our squad next year etc. I think I can respect him for showing faith in our squad and maybe the fringe players let him down. Or the finishing of SRL and Adam let him down.

I think there is merit in this theory. What is more important to Saints finishing as high as possible in the Premier league or winning the FA cup. I believe top 8 was the brief and MoPo will receive a large Bonus for this achievement. So what happened yesterday? Well MoPo wants the best team available against West Ham that is more important. Alot of players were suffering from fatigue, I think including Lallana and Rickie. MoPo wanted to freshen up the team, but the team under performed. I think his plan backfired or it confirmed that our squad needs significant strenghening to play in Europe and the League next season.

Anyone could see he and Lallana were tired!!!

How many times have we won this season with Jos playing? Ripping the heart of the midfield out total upset our style of our play. Very very unhappy as the better team threw the FA cup away.
