As a real Saints supporter you need to go through the bad times as well as the good times. MoPo is constantly learning and will have realised yesterday that Mourinho is tactically better and had better options at his disposal. MoPo is also suffering from bad luck, bad refereeing decisions and injuries
-
Looking at how we played without Lambert yesterday shows just why he's not going anywhere soon!
-
I think he will be disappointed with the first and third goal. Better than Gazza, but Gazza is young and will have learnt a great deal.
-
I like your thinking. He does need speed training.

Anyone else share my enthusiasm for Jack Cork?
Andy Durman replied to PortlandSaint's topic in The Saints
I think or at least I hope that MoPo will have learnt not to take off Cork unless he is injured or about to get a red card. Wanyama is better overall, but Cork is a better passer of the ball. Wanyama can learn alot from Cork, but Cork will never be an imposing dominant presents as Wanyama. Both compliment the squad. -
No it shows that he is committed to developing Academy players Keep the nucleus of our squad and let them develop together (Gazzaniga, Lovren, Wanyama, Schneiderlin, Jay-Rod, Shaw, Clyne, Chambers, Ward Prowse, Gallagher etc) and we will have a Manchester United on our hands (Scholes, Beckham, Neville brothers etc)

Post Match Reaction: SAINTS 0-3 Chelsea
Andy Durman replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Tactical mistakes, tiredness and injuries in no particular order. Anybody who thinks we should sell Cork is deluded! -
Sorry you can't sell a legend

Depends which country you're in!!

Wishing all you fellow Saints Supporters a fantastic & Exciting New Year following the Saints!!!!

Post Match Reaction: Newcastle United 1-1 SAINTS
Andy Durman replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
If you don't make mistakes you don't learn. The difference with Southampton is we believe in our youngsters. Stop getting on the back of our future stars. Gazza is and will be a fine keeper. Stop looking at the negatives and start looking at the good things he's doing. -
Does anybody know how I can get in contact with him?
-
Based on what? A wonder goal? Who headered the ball into the danger zone for Oswaldo to score against Aston Villa? Oswaldo needs to improve his goals to chances ratio. Wonder goal are one thing, but he missed two bread & butter chances that would have won the game.
-
Is it not always the same on this website. One good game and he's the greatest thing since sliced bread. One bad game and he's rubbish. Can we have a little more balance in the arguments. Cork whilst excellent did make a few defensive mistakes. He along with four other players should have cleared the cross from which they scored. Defensively he is not as good as Wanyama, but boy can he pass and has quick feet. We are luck y to have both players and both players bring different qualities.
-
Whilst I like him offensively I do have issues with his speed and running technique. If you notice he runs a little flat footed. He can with training get quicker. I think he was exposed a few times defensively, but at 18 has the world ahead of him and Clyne.

Just setting of for the match. First home game this year. Vienna to Bratislava to Stansted pick up car from Cambridge and drive to Southampton. Do you think i'm coming the furthest for a home match?

I have tried to buy two tickets for the Man City home match, but have been told that because I have no purchase history in the last Year that I can't purchase tickets. I am flying back from Austria and would desperately love to see this match. Can anybody help me by purchasing 2 tickets on my behalf??? If anyone can help me I would be really grateful. Thanks Andy

Do you think the plan is to play gaston when fit?
Andy Durman replied to Roger's topic in The Saints
Hi Alpine hope you & your family are well. I have to disagree. The Gaston we bought sadly was not good enough for the Premier league. We are therefore having to train him into a player who can live in the Premier league. he must be fitter, but most of all he must be physically stronger. He has the ability. The rest will come and will take time. We must not write him off yet. Although if somebody wants to offer 25 million we should take it at the moment. -
Should MP be sacked if we don't get 3 points at Anfield?
