  1. I think MP has learnt alot about his squad today. We looked very dangerous once Puncheon came on. I think Punch will Start next week.
  2. Gaston will need to work on his fitness in order to fit into this style of football. This style fits people like Cork, Schneiderlin & Davis. I'm not sure Gaston can achieve the same levels of fitness as Davis. It was always the same with MLT.
  3. You have to play against 12 to beat the big teams
  4. I like the words key player used on Bolton website
  5. Sorry to say this, but do you know anything about football?
  6. I'm actually happy with the team chosen. Fox & Hooiveld have never played together with Cork in midfield in the Premier league. Now there can be no excuses.
  7. Steve Davis in AM with Gaston left. Lallana to come on at half time or not if we're losing
  8. So who will play left wing? Ramirez with Steve Davis attacking midfield? De Ridder? Sounds like Lallana isn't very good on the dance floor (needs more rhythm)
  9. I will make a few points. 1. We definitely played a higher line which was very effective in the first half, but was unsustainable with our fitness levels. 2. Gaston was a different player in the second half and really played for the new manager, however his fitness level was found out as he drifted out of the game in the second half and got cramp. 3. We were playing against the 5th best team in the country and one of the most physical teams in the league. 4. I thought tactically we were better and I had far more confidence in the substitutions. 5. I thought Steve Davies was fantastic when he came on for Gaston. Just what we needed to finish the game off. 6. Did anyone noticed NC's proud cheshire cat smile at the end of the game. He was very pleased with what he saw. 7. Our squad does need strengthening especially with more creativity from the bench. I believe MP is a step forward and I can also see us challenging the top four in years to come. Finally Chelsea, Arsenal and now Everton couldn't beat us. I think one of the big boys will shortly be beaten by us. The only question is which one??
  10. Wonder who picked that team Cortese??????????
  11. If Adkins was being replaced by say Ferguson or Mourinho would Lawrenson be so disrespectful. Maybe we have the next great world manager?
  12. NC is a visionary. This is a very sad day and I am just as disappointed as anybody, however NC has a dream and a plan. Lets get behind the new Boss and put the club before any one person. I'm sure NA has been very well looked after with a golden handshake although money isn't everything and NA must feel terrible at the moment. He is one fantastic guy and he leaves with his head held high and a fantastic CV.
  13. Not on todays performance!!!
  14. Well Boruc, Jos and De Ridder! names that always seem to be in the firing line, but played fantastic when asked. Well done & great win. Worried about Shaw!!!
  15. Well done & good result. Berbatov should have been sent off. Cork, Davis & Schneiderlin in the middle were excellent as was Puncheon
  16. This team just isn't good enough to beat Leeds. Very disappointed
  17. Sorry Wes but i'm gonna pick on your post. You have to understand the way a back 4 plays these days to understand why Danny Fox is leaving acres of space. When an attack comes down the right side the back 4 move across with the right back pushing more forward. In this way the defense remains compact. However if the game quickly changes to the left side then the left back must move quickly to the left with the remaining 3 also moving across to keep the defense compact. The problem is we are not quick enough in the transition. Clyne is better because he's faster, but we get very quickly exposed down the left side. Hope this makes sense. See how the left and right backs always tuck in and give space to the opponents right and left midfielders. I think Danny Fox is getting exploited because of the system and the speed of the premier league teams. I play left back and feel sorry for him. You really need to be fast.
  18. If we can score 5 we may have a chance!
  19. Agreed
  20. Just how good a manager is NA? Well we are about to see and this is back to the walls time. Personally I think he will prove that he's an excellent manager and that he can learn fast. Fingers crossed. Not sure if we go down how quickly we will get out of the Championship. In NA I trust!!!
  21. Blameless except Yoshida was to blame for Third Goal!!!!!
  22. We shouldn't hit the panic button, but I do think that NA needs some help. Take Arsenal as an example. They have Steve Bould organising the defence. How many have they let in? 1 which was a mistake by the keeper. NA will be a top manager, but he has to learn quickly and he will!
  23. Oops sorry! Have amended
  24. I have a ticket in the home end for Saturday's match if anybody is interested. PM me if interested
