Spors supposedly likes a high tempo/pressing style rather than possession. If he picks another manager with a different style than that, he has no credit at all. We need to stop flip flopping and stick to something. You can’t keep buy players for one style and then changing a manager to a different style.

Not keen on Viera personally. Definitely DO NOT want Russell Martin. No way. No to Gerrard too.

He’s very Moyes at Man Utd. He has the mentality of a small club manager. Moyes didn’t have the nerve to go for it in games and neither does he. How many CB did we have at one point? 4? 6 defenders?

The issue occurs when managers don’t match the players. Jones was rubbish because he tried to force a style on players not suited to it. The same for Juric. Russell was able to sign players more suitable for this style. Supposedly so has Will Still. I think you can judge someone who’s had a transfer window and pre season more harshly than someone who hasn’t. If.. but more likely when he’s replaced we have to stick to the style of play we want - energy and pressing. We can’t switch again.

The morning after…. It was still terrible. The players aren’t showing the best of themselves and that comes down to the manager. The reasoning about that substitution was poor. I was losing faith but I’ve totally lost it now.

I hate the thought of having to make another change so I want to be patient but… my patience has run out after about 3 wins in 30+ matches. Still looks lost to me. Seems out of his depth. God I hope I’m wrong. This is a mess.

The more I reflect, the more concerned I am. We looked totally clueless yesterday as we have for most of the season. He bought wingers for crosses but we don’t have the forwards to get on the end of them. What on Earth is going on? I just can’t see how that will improve. Surely he won’t abandon wingers after insisting on needing them for ages. I am genuinely totally at a loss to understand what he’s trying to achieve.

To be fair they go some years hardly spending anything and then seem to have an expensive year. They don’t spend anywhere near the amount the other top teams do on a consistent basis.
