RM has another Jones style strop. This isn’t the first time. I hope he’s not like this with the players. It’s all very odd and a bit irrational. RM can’t work out why other managers don’t like him. 🤔I can. He’d struggle like Jones in the Prem with this sort of behaviour.

Another match goes by where we pass it around without creating anything. It’s pointless. The talent in this squad HAS to do better than this.

Don’t forget- apparently Martin won everyone over during the tactical evening. I always said it was just words. Some fans were hanging off his every word. He has to earn that sort of reverence. He hasn’t.

Be careful. That’ll upset some people! 🤣 even if the second half is better, it’s not enough. He tells us we’ll be brilliant though. I reserve judgement. Some people think he’s the messiah.

I hope nobody complaining went to the fans forum as apparently everyone went away happy from that. He was so impressive allegedly. As I said at the time, it’s just words. I went away desperately hoping but very skeptical because he says a lot but never follows it up on the pitch. Some people are so easily persuaded by words.

How slow was some of that football! Tedious. Players were static. Again. The pedestrian nature of RM’s football is clear to see.

Picking the wrong manager again and again. Jones was a disaster. They trapped themselves into the Selles corner. Martin was a gamble. Terrible defensive records. He had a terrible run with Swansea - just a good end to the season to sadly get him the job here. Such poor managerial appointments. Some poor recruitment on top of that. Even if we did go up with Martin, this football will fail in the Prem. He’s never going to last.

Supporting this team is a chore. There’s no enjoyment at all. It’s a total mess. Total apathy is creeping in. I was finding myself torn between wanting a heavier loss just to get rid of this waster or hoping for an equalizer. By 60mins I just wanted the match to finish.

Why do we keep employing people that over complicate everything. Ralph and Russell seem to think it takes ages to learn their style. Wonder if they’ve ever reflected on that. It took Swansea aver a year. Why does his possession style game have to be so different to everyone else’s? He seems to like telling us how different it is. If nobody else is doing it, maybe there’s a reason. Perhaps some managers think conceding so many goals is not the best idea 😂

His press conference was atrocious. The negative body language on show. Sounded very defensive. He flip flopped between being critical of the fans and then trying to soften his comments. Negative atmosphere… I understand why… not helpful. Then the random bit about some guy behind the dugout shouting abuse after the second goal and having to stop the players responding. What was that about? Unnecessary. He didn’t need to share that. He could’ve said that there were some passionate fans behind the dugout and that he loves the passion. He’s told the players they need to show the same passion and win these people over. The wheels are coming off his press conferences and post match comments now he’s under some pressure. I do see similarities with Jones. He seemed really pissy like it was all a bit of a bother to him to have to speak to the media. I started off a little hesitant about his appointment but he won me over with some articulate speeches/interviews. He’s losing it though. It’s a worrying sign.

I think you mean ‘restlessness’. Things certainly aren’t restful because we’ve have to endure crap football, crap decisions off the field and gaslighting nonsense of years. It’s not the fans who made Martin speak a load of worrying rubbish yesterday and other days. I liked him. It doesn’t take long to see that something is clueless though when they consistently say weird or worrying things. It’s this more than anything else that erodes my confidence in him.

It’s the arrogance and deluded, gaslighting comments that will finish him. He’s no better than Nathan Jones. He thinks he can gaslight us into thinking we played well yesterday. What standards is he setting for the players. KWP had the decency to sound pissed off but he’ll get in the changing room and be told he made his manager proud. They’ll have zero respect for that. We’ve also had other gems: -wouldn’t concede as many with Downes playing - multiple confessions to picking the wrong team -proud of a performance in a 4-1 loss -conceding lots of goals ‘won’t happen again’ (then happening a lot) Clueless. Nigel Adkins proved it was possible to play possession football and be able to defend. As did Burnley last year.

Matt Taylor of Rotherham (and previously Exeter) would be better. Heard and saw a lot of him when he was Exeter manager. Very pragmatic. Honest. Worked wonders with limited resources.

The manager has chosen to make Jack Stephens a key member of the group due to his leadership attributes. It’ll be so awkward if he has to backtrack on that…

Stephens is our captain. With all these CB options, he’ll have to end up playing.

I have an innovative suggestion for those that are moaning about the forum (or all of them in general)- don’t listen to them. Simple. Those that want to, can. I won’t charge for this advice.

Come on people! This is a fresh start. Let’s be positive until we have things to moan about. Martin and Jason make me feel more positive than some people that have been running around his club in the recent past.

I’m not sure what people expect? This early on in the season with a new team in charge, there’s not lots to ask that hasn’t already been said in interviews. If you want to ask a question, go. That’s what I did.

I’m not sure what to ask. 1. What hair product does R Martin use? 2. Are we expanding the stadium soon? 3. Which member of staff is driving Alex McCarthy to Crystal Palace? 4. Can we have a free drink like when Ralph first arrived? Any preference?
