  1. Not a fan then.
  2. Not Jonno Quick. Maybe he could work at KwikSave, another completely inappropriately named place of work for the guy.
  3. Saving was not his forte.
  4. He scored 3 times at St Marys, one of which was candidate for goal of the season. I think its a bit insulting to liken St Mary's to a Brothel.
  5. Must all be down to Martin Chivers. Actually doesn't sound too silly an idea, makes some sense for a young player or two to get some game time. Servette, Swindon, Hibs...
  6. Dartford was last season, and only a month. He went back toChelmsford and was then released. Not showing up anywhere this season. Reality bites.
  7. One of the few non-league clubs to have benefited from half million pound windfall in the summer due to transfer on of one of their former players. Has gone some way to helping them overcome a potential million pound loss when they were relegated.
  8. We only drink whisky We never drink rum were the words usually, in deference to our Navy friends down the road.
  9. The rules of the U21 League require a number of games each season to be played at the main stadium
  10. We hate Nottingham Forest We hate Liverpool too (and West Ham) We hate Man United But Southampton we love you We used to hate Forest because they nearly always beat us including twice at Wembley. They were ****ing annoying, and the modern day equivalent of ManYoo *****il recently).
  11. Clearly the Express does not understand the meaning of the word Galactico, especially in relation to Ashley Young.
  12. Good for you.

    Mane

Clearly the free kick was taken in the opponent's half because that's where the officials called it. I don't think anyone is saying the officials are completely stupid.

    Mane

Afraid not, didn't see it at the time, but it was highlighted on Sky Match Choice I think last night.

    Mane

Oh dear, another one who can't distinguish between being happy and being wrong. Whitey is correct, your view is just like Fat Sam on MOTD last night. He was wrong with Nolan's goal, and the assistant got it spot on. Actually I do disagree slightly with Whitey there was one offside that was wrongly called, when Mane made a diagonal run from just inside our own half. You have to be in the opponent's half to be offside according to the Laws of the game.
  16. Opinions differ, these are two qualities that I fail to see in him. However, he has a good touch on the ground, links up play well, and scores goals a plenty. I don't dislike the guy, just not going to be a great favourite of mine as things stand.
  17. Far from it. But we were still good enough to beat a QPR side who were much better than was to be expected from the form book. We were hanging on in the second half, and it was very tense while it was 2-1, we should have killed the game off. As I said I thought we looked jaded after the midweek efforts when we looked very very good indeed. Nothing wrong with that, its what happens when you play twice in a week especially when the midweek game is a high intensity one like Arsenal was. Rangers didn't play midweek and looked mush fresher as a result, fortunately they are not as good as us and so we still overcame them, but they were not exactly a pushover.
  18. Ironic coming from you Roger. Why is it that if someone doesn't agree with your opinion that they must be clueless. If you think Tadic was having a good game in the first half yesterday then it is you my friend that must be clueless. As I said, much better in the second half when he played on the left.
  19. No he isn't. He is not very good in the air at all, at times seems more interested in making sure his hair is not out of place. As my daughter puts it, he is a bit of a pansy, is rather afraid of getting stuck in. Yesterday he was quite poor, but redeemed himself by scoring a top quality goal. A few flashes of good link up play, but very little else to be honest. Sorry, if my opinion of him is not the same as yours, not sure why I have to tell you what I think he should be doing, I think it was clear in my original post.
  20. Nice touch from Shane Long yesterday, made a special effort after the game to go into the Chapel to give his shirt to someone - I'm guessing it was to one of our disabled supporters but couldn't really see, but nice one nevertheless. Think the euphoria of winning 6 on the trot is getting to some. Really enjoying being 2nd, but in all honesty yesterday we looked jaded after the midweek game, though Fonte might have been regretting cancelling the day off for the team. Thought Tadic was quite poor but improved when he switched to the left when Mane went off. Pelle's goal was fantastic, but he is a player I cannot warm to at the moment, seems to be playing primarily for himself, and is poor at winning headers. Mane is exciting, no doubt, looks like the player Mayuka should have been, but sometimes it seems like he doesn't actually know where he is going with the ball. I am a big fan of Morgan, bu thought he was very average yesterday, though he was key in our first goal intercepting their clearance and turning it into attack. As usual this season we play quite poorly for much of the 1st half, then it seems Ron fires the guys up and we come out much better. Hopefully we will have got this sorted by the time we play any of the top teams. So good stuff so far, but really could do better. Still ****es me off how bad we were against WBA.
  21. He made his comments "before a ball was kicked". At that time Morgan looked to be a certainty to exit. The goalkeeper we kept, that would be the one now at Bournemouth I suppose. We signed 2 CBs after the first ball was kicked but before the transfer window closed. He is still one of the biggest bell ends in football commentary today, but to be honest at the time his prediction was not so stupid as some on here would care to make out. It is easy with hindsight to see that Tadic and Pelle are good replacements but there was precious little evidence before a ball was kicked. Anyway, we are doing well, but still very vulnerable to a serious injury crisis because of the very small squad. We won't be relegated, but come December/January we will likely have a repeat of last season in all probability, except we won't have Glasgow ramming it down our throats every 5 minutes.
  22. Its the boring part of the season for Arry. No transfers, no brown envelopes, just bloody football matches. Gets others to do his coaching. His dog does his accounts. It must be frustrating and boring being Arry at the moment.
  23. Thank goodness he did, now we have Ron. I know which I would rather have.
  24. Almost exactly the words that Samuel himself said. Basically the whole point of his article. I said before there really was not much wrong with what he had written, just that it was rather poor quality for a so-called football journalist. There is also not much wrong with what he has said in this follow up. The problem is that most people have not grasped his basic point, which was to say to the Board, don't think its this easy and that the model of this summer can be repeated. Sadly the comments from the so-called Saints supporters he has quoted just go to prove that many lack basic knowledge to understand what is going on. But then I guess that not only are the Saints supporters but also Daily Fail readers (since you have to be registered to make these comments). Sometimes we are made to look a bit stupid as a collective by the comments of a few.
  25. Back off the bad mouthing of Wiltshire. Good enough for Mick Channon its good enough for me. Not sure what that's got do with Saints or Arsenal though.
