"Brighton isn't a derby" - Yes it is, it's reasonably local and there's a lot of bad blood between the two sets of fans. "Bournemouth isn't a derby" - Yes it is. It's literally down the road and they hate us. Why do our fans not like games being branded derbies? Why are we so touchy about it? It's not the biggest one, granted but Wolves Vs Birmingham isn't a huge derby. Neither side are each other's main rivals but you don't hear them getting sensitive about it being called a derby...Because it is.

I hope we give Claude a good reception when we play them. Good bloke, did an alright job, very harshly sacked.

And I counter that with a front three of Kayne McGlaggon, Jamie White and Ryan Smith. Which, amazingly was once a thing.

McCann was bloody awful. I don't even know who Ripely is.

Main thing is, though, MP's press conferences are more lively so it's not all bad.

I get the feeling Hoedt is going to be a bit part player this season so he doesn't draw too much attention to himself but come in next season as a VVD replacement having already had a year with the club, thus knowing the style and approach. A bit like we did in Romeo's first season, easing him in gently as Wanyama's replacement.
