Saythe****what? Go on, enlighten us.......

Yep. Was my first choice. I looked at Said, Cass, and a couple of others. Best year of my life: seriously hard work, and would do it again tomorrow if I could.

Some pretty conclusive advice here - many thanks. My gut feel was to stick as is, but thought it worth floating the question out there. I am very happy with my CV (thanks for the link Chrisobee), the only concern is the few short roles; perhaps this is more an issue for me than employers. Will put that out of my mind now. I do like the suggestion in the link about just putting the years of employment rather than years and months though....might give it a go. Cheers all.

So, I have recently been made redundant. Ah well, onwards and upwards etc. Most recently I was with company A for 2 years - left due to redundancy Prior to that with company B for 10 months - I was made redundant Prior to that I did a full time MBA (1 year) Prior to that with company C for 9 months - left to do the MBA (I was given a scholarship which halved the fees if I went in 2005, rather than 2006 as I had planned) Prior to that with company D for 6.5 years Prior to that with company E for 3 years I am a little uncomfortable about having a few short-term roles on the CV; although I can show some decent achievements in each role, and left for genuine reasons (redundancy and scholarship, rather than being crap). Hence in interviews I can address this with confidence. That said I am thinking about 'massaging' the time I was with company C, and making it 18-20 months. This would show slightly more stability, and not detract from other achievements. It is unlikely they would ever be used as a reference now: the company has changed hands and most of the old bosses have moved on. My aim in doing this is purely to help get more interviews; I have only just started my latest job search, so am unsure if I will struggle to secure interviews or not. I know there are some recruitment types who read the forum, and I wondered what your views on this would be? Clearly there are implications if an employer spotted my creative history making......but on the other hand it might be worth it. Advice welcome!

Watched 'Kick Ass' a few days ago, here in sunny Thailand. Luckily in English, unlike whne I watched Harry Potter out here...! Good film. Funny, and a little bit clever. My only issue is trying to understand how it was meant to be received: some LOL moments, some lighthearted stuff, some comic-book capers. Nicholas Cage does a fantastic ****-take accent. But some overly strong violence too.....who wants to see a grown man smash an 11 yr old girl in the face; repeatedly? Yes, he's a bad guy, but come on...... Funny, silly, enjoyable nonsense, with the odd uncomfortable moment. 8/10.

Bump for any advice. Really ****ing me off now!

Nothing unusual in Device Manager; no yellow circles, questions marks etc. Do you need more detail than that? I am guessing somne kind of driver issue; bt all drivers are up to date and direct from the Dell site.

I have a Dell Inspiron 1520 laptop, with XP on it. All works fine. Have tried to install a webcam, but I cannot get the laptop to 'see' it. This happens: Install webcam software Webcam software tells me to plug in webcam, but then sits there without seeing the webcam. Meanwhile, a dialogue box opens telling me Windows is trying to install a new USB device, and do I want to do it automatically etc If I try installing the webcam via the windows dialogue box I get no joy....device not recognised or some such No matter which USB port I plug into, I get the same result; and other devices (already installed on the laptop) work in all USB ports. I have tried a new webcam, with same outcome. The webcam does install on other machines. I am now getting seriously ****ed off. Any advice welcomed.

He was superb. There was a moment half way through the first half when Robson had the ball, knocked it past Harding and tried to beat him for pace. Harding gave a 'you have to be kidding' look, beat him over 15ish yards, took the ball, turned inside and casually laid the ball off. Pure class, and got a deserved round of applause.

Any idea on what the ticket tout situation will be? I have not managed to get a ticket, so am thinking of chancing it on the day. If no joy then I'll find the nearest pub and wait for you lot to come back with the cup....

FM 2010 hints, tips, cheats & gems of players / tactics
Suhari replied to SO16_Saint's topic in Computer Games
Thought I would get into FM2010; not played one since 08. Enjoying it so far, but how about this for a dodgy management decision........... I signed Marlon King. Good idea I thought; okay, so the fans weren't to happy, but he's banged a few in for us, and being the manager I know best. Until his status changed to 'unavailable to play football until 30.4.2011'. Banged up I guess. ****. -

(Fe)Male Gigalow? Watch K-19 too; decent film. Harrison Ford's accent was very dodgy though.

Strange in a 'I'll sniff you pants darling, then bury you under my floorboards ' or a 'lick his lips, "do you want some sweeties and a story" kind of a way'?

Never seen the appeal of the FF games. I played one on the PS1........ it was a load of Japanese mystical bollards, numerous pointless cut scenes, turn-based, blocky and repetative gameplay (rush in, hit, rush out), and an apparent lack of a coherent storyline. Yet people always go on about how great FF is. Willing to take another look though - which one should I try?

If we end up 10 points behind with 9 or 10 games left, then there is still a chance - maybe slim - but still a chance of the playoffs. Lets just enjoy it.

Looks like. Just finished the test. Good fun actually.

Has anyone done these assessments before? I need to do one tomorrow. Look okay - when compared to a GMAT anyway, but would welcome any insights from anyone who has done one recently.

I like a good conspiracy theory, but surely not? Would love it to be true though; love it. (That was my Keegan impression by the way).
