Its where I blame for our predicament not at fans for wanting Puel gone - how many wanted Pellegrino? Why last January did we not buy a defender? Caceres was signed and not played. Where was the replacement for the imminent departure VVD this January? Why go for unobtainable players like Walcott/Promes? Kennedy at Newcastle on loan from Newcastle is flying ...why didnt we go for him? How many loan players do we currently have ? Other clubs use that why don't we as presumably there are no defenders in the whole of Europe better than Stephens/Yoshida/Hoedt? Our recruitment is the reason we are where we are...that and appointing the worst manager I have ever seen and leaving him there until 8 games to go. Incompetence doesn't cover this.....something stinks.

:toppa: Puel shouldn't have been given the job in the first place - remember we only want to employ someone with knowledge of teams across Europe....so just France then. We turned down Pellegrini FFS. Away from home Puel did ok but Europa jeesh and after the final....and the poor love had to contend with 50 games...well what about the FA cup then that went well...what are we going to do next season with 46 games as just league? The recruitment for both the last 2 managers has been appalling neglecting key areas and heads should roll for that.

I blame the people recruiting them....what happened to that diligence we used to allegedly do? I watched Mitovic at Fulham the other night...jeesh the guy may be a bit nuts but at least he shows some passion and desire in both boxes. Sacking Puel wasn't wrong - look how he couldn't change the last 8 games...what was wrong was our shocking recruitment that January only getting Caceres - the recruitment of the worst manager I have seen and the refusal to replace him and another abysmal January window. Selling good players and replacing them with poorer quality coupled with poor baffling managers is why we are where we are. Had Pellegrino been sacked in November/December a better replacement than Hughes could have been possible...mind you that would have threatened our net spend trophy.
