Exactly...thats the whole picture to look at not just stats or some whingeing about the price just because they can think it won't be doing the same as what Pompey did! Yes 12m does seem high ...on one player who if he scores 2 goals that keeps us up will have paid for it - same as Jonathan Forte did really. Mayuka, Gallagher, Sharpe are not going to do the business - Long just may help us with the right team shape and chip in with the odd goal or two.

Samaras is better than Mayuka and Sharp also an improvement on Guly so not too unhappy but would have preferred Ings but clearly this FFP is all bullsh1ne and hype Samaras won't be on peanuts.

No I just have redsloscf.BlogSpot.com but there are a few things I dont agree with - I have simply assumed that all our new players will receive the same salary and that salary is the average of last year’s three transfers: Wanyama 2.0, Osvaldo 3.6, and Lovren 2.1 which I will round to 2.6. I think that might be a bit low, but I really have no idea. At this point we have 3 new players in so that would be 7.8 million . A good read though and more food for thought and hopefully tomorrow we will improve the squad more - just centre half and striker needed urgently.

Do you think Pelle, Tadic and Bertrand will be on a lot more than their 3 counterparts that were sold plus Osvaldo wouldnt have been on minimum wage? Chambers and Shaw may not be on much - Guly wages saved as well. I think this FFP seems to be used as a cop out really what is the penalty for being over?

Sorry let me clarify that - I meant most players have no loyalty and will go where the money is - we should be able to compete with most clubs with transfer fees and wages - I know we sold 5 of our best players but with Koeman think thats a big draw here. How many player do you think that dont sign for the money? 10-15%?
