  1. NA actually did though several times....
  2. hahahah as if anyone would have the balls to admit to that....
  3. He was limping in the car park yesterday....
  4. +1 thought he was the pick of a poor team today - contributed twice as much as Lambert, pace movement and link up was good. He missed a good chance but finished his goal well and hopefully will now kick on. Problem is with that price tag on his head he has to be getting hat tricks and battering defences which is not going to happen yet. He is work in progress and going to take time but I can see a decent player in him.
  5. Not with a defence as bad as ours...everyone knows it and a change of manager will not alter that and make a silk purse out of a sows ear. 2 more gifted goals today IMO - no pressure on the ball, allowed to drift inside and backed off. Until we are able to bring in replacements we are lumbered.
  6. Probably the worst 45 minutes from us I have seen for many a year - Spurs were just cruising, we again gifted them the goals and the way we let Defoe just drift in with no pressure or on Huddlesstone was terrible. The second goal we actually had them on the back foot and then Lallana played an abysmal pass and gave it away and then they just went by us as though not there- was disappointed at Davis giving up the chase back and comical defending gifted it again. As others have said its changed with Mayuke coming on and offering us pace and we could finally get in behind them. Ricky had a poor game, J-Rod looked much better today and hopefully that goal will push him onwards.
  7. Not quite true...they are not owned by O2 but use their network. Similar to Tesco's using it as well - they pay a 'premium' to O2 for it. I have a SIM from GiffGaff for my lads phone they offer far better packages to suit us than any other High St one.
  8. Just saw Skyfall...loved it great story...shock at end...only disappointing thing was the women in it ....
  9. What like Adkins has ;-)
  10. Top post and puts it far better than I ever could - exactly it for me.
  11. He signed Demel and Diame two who we could do with....that Demel bloke certainly takes no prisoners and in our lightweight midfield would certainly prove handy.
  12. That is your opinion and of course entitled to that as if we all agreed this board would be dead, however, I totally disagree with "never got so much right" especially its treatment of fans. Parking, ST price rebranding, treatment of programme sellers, Ted Bates trophy, no fans forum, ticket office shambles. See no swearing....this time
  13. What the f*** has that got to do with Cortese style...when do we have to stop doffing our cap? Yes things have been great on the pitch for the last 2 seasons but does that mean we have to suck up everything that is going on at the club as correct? Its not and as customers surely we have the right to ask when things are not as we would like? Lowe did some very good things here(snarl, gnash) Ask Rupert, radio phone ins and fans forums at least put you in touch until he turned the green army on us. It will bite Cortese on the ass if he doesn't at least bend a bit towards his customers.
  14. Too bleeding right.....as someone who is fighting that battle at the moment all companies want is cheap...they don't give a stuff about quality...we had the head of the UK for our customer chat to us last week that came out loud and clear. When the sh1t hits the fan at his company next year and they have no-one to fix it but an Indian with a script to follow....and 5 times the number of workers previously doing the task as the UK had.
  15. The only one I can think of is the same as the last one...where I had Jamie's Mrs sat just in front of me....a nice family day out at SMS with the Pa in Law.
  16. For the life of me I cannot work out why people keep on about Hoddle - he did a good job at The Dell years ago...was totally crap at Spurs and Wolves and had to set up his own academy because no-one else will employ him!! How many jobs have been available since Hoddle was booted out of Wolves? If he is that brilliant why has no-one touched him with a barge poll??? Can one of his supporters answer those questions as am baffled why you think he could replace Adkins.
  17. Why not keep Adkins but bring in a defensive coach to help for a few months...anything is better than what we have at the minute - fresh ideas and if goalkeepers can have their own why not Jos/Fonte/Yoshida

  21. My daughter ran the Cardiff half marathon yesterday - about 8 weeks ago she had a free sports massage after a 10k and they tore the calf tissues so she had to take it easy yesterday. She did it in 2hr 17 for her first one ever. Raised £400 for Alzeimers. Cheered a Saints fan running in the Centennial shirt. My gosh the Kenyans and Ethiopians were good...so easy 1hr 2 mins!!!
  22. No he has earned the right to manage us in the Prem but....FFS today was just nuts and surrendering us going forward with 30 minutes left was nuts. I can half understand both though but it was only 1-0 and loads of time left if he had done it with 10/15 mins left ok acceptable but I would still have put on Mayuka up front. to get them turned facing their goal. I am not sure we have the money to pay him off anyway
  23. One thing that's not been mentioned on this thread and I reckon having some effect is that every game can now be watched live in a pub. A big saving for some on ticket prices. We didn't have that last time in the Prem as not legal then.
  24. Start off with group ones they are far cheaper until you decide if you like it or not - my guess is that you will hit one shot like Seve and will take it up. Lessons are about £20 for half an hour singles.
  25. Try either Chris or Kevin at Paultons both excellent teachers. Dont splash out on too expensive clubs at the start I used Wilson Ultras with Firestick shafts for years when I started. Go for a well know name like Ping, Taylor Made, Calloway and you cant go far wrong. American Golf at Hedge End are probably the cheapest around here. I would do as others say and have a look on Gumtree first until you decide to carry on or not. Golf is very time consuming which is what people tend to forget and 5 hour rounds are very common if you play municipal courses. Southampton is great, Dibden is a really nice course for newcomers as they have a short 9 to practice on first.
