I honestly don't understand why you guys are still feeding the most successful ever trolling on this site. It seems to me that Sarnia has an endless supply of semen, and he is spraying you guys with it every single day. It seems to be a symbiotic relationship.

If any of it is true, it's a great testament to our scouting system......More interesting though, it shows that Paul Mitchell may have run out of ideas from his knowledge of our system, and has resorted to simply watching whoever we have a current interest in. I think maybe when he left us, he didn't actually take a wealth of information with him.

Like all of us, I hope he has an extended career with us. More importantly though, and as you have pointed out with other examples, he is a prime example of how a player can improve and up his game if you just stick around and build your talents within a stable environment. I'm hoping that at least a couple of our new signings in other departments will have the sense to realise this.

For the longest time my opinion of Les was tainted by what I had read about him on this forum. Lots of tales about him destroying Charlton, being a huge a-hole, players hate him etc. Thankfully, he has weathered the test of time, and IMO he is a huge asset to the club.

I'm not about to wet the bed over the issue, but I do feel that most of our signings since RK took over have had more to do with the managers wishes rather than the general club policy regarding new signings. (The famed black box) Most of us expect RK to move on after his 3 years, and like it or not, that does raise an issue for our heavy Dutch connection regarding both Dutch players and others from the Dutch league. It would be crazy to dismiss the possible turmoil we might suffer when RK leaves us. Having said all that, our club has an excellent recent record of planning for such events.

Whatever happens, I feel that Saints have more to offer than those two. That maybe has a little to do with a possible transfer, but speaks volumes about how far we have come so far. We are most definitely the best of the rest at the moment IMO.

You are somewhat correct, but the threads on both forums were pretty much dead before today. That was a good thing. Of course I am snarky about CB Fry on Saintsweb because we had a stupid spat a while back. That does not mean those differences have to continue across the forums. I intend to use both, and I would prefer if we could mend bridges rather than destroy them.
