  7. While in Cape town, taking the cable car up Table Mountain is kinda compulsory. A trip to Cape point is also a must do. The peninsula is a nature reserve (gotta pay) and if you go to the very point, you get to say that you saw where the Atlantic meets the Indian ocean (The natural convergence, not the one on the maps) On a good day you can see turbulence where they clash. You can barbeque there, so take some meat and coals. I had an ostrich run over mine! Walk up Adderly street if you get a chance. Generally though, just drive around the high spots all around Table Mountain and you will see somewhere you want to go. It's beautiful. If you like wine, then the wine route is also compulsory and very pretty Edit: Things will have changed a LOT since I was there in the early 80's. Then, just as now, it is very important to find out from anyone you meet there which are the places to avoid totally. This is Africa. 'nuff said.

  14. You are such a twonk. If you had any true knowledge of my past posts, you would know that I also defend America. I speak as I find. I have said somewhere on this forum that I am happy here, I appreciate the people of Ohio, and that I like them and respect them very much. I also complain about things that I find at fault in America. What does that make me? Some kind of creature that has a magical ability to be pleased about where he lives, yet somehow critical about some aspects of this utopia? Guilty. I'm a normal person with a mind of my own. Seriously George, make a new persona for yourself. The one you inhabit is faulty beyond repair. Edit: " I just used your own words and comments from previous post's of yours over the years" A statement like that demands evidence. Please oblige.
  15. It was better than the international break.
  16. I'm not annoyed. Not one little bit. He has neither importance nor relevance. I was just enjoying my freedom of speech.
  17. You sanctimonious little twit. How can you possibly presume to know how I conduct myself in my every day life? It's inbred prats like you that give even the internet a bad name! Of course, I don't know for a fact that you are inbred, call it an educated guess on my part. I have no friends, and my neighbours view me with suspicion? I have lived in the US for 15 years. I have also lived in France for five years, and South Africa for three. Never once have I ever been accused of being a little Englander apart from now. You sound like a 12 year old or a drunk. Most likely, a 12 year old drunk. Now. Let's not hide in anonymity. I am a 58 year old male, born in Southampton, but now a US citizen. And yes, I have a picture of me getting my citizenship displayed in my home. If you want to continue with your childlike rants against me, I will happily respond to them if you let me know a little about yourself!!! Otherwise, just shut the **** up about who you think I am and go back to your skinhead friends.
  18. "You would need to be able to know the future to hold that opinion" ~ Tommy, aged 4 3/4
  19. This thread is getting embarrassing. St. George would be a complete disgrace to almost everyone I have met in 15 years of being an American. Above all else, Americans cherish the right to free speech. It would seem to SG though, that free speech is only for Americans and nobody else. I'm not about to trawl the internet to prove a point, but I'm sure there are plenty of threads on American forums that do exactly the same as this one regarding foreign countries. Get a grip SG.
  20. I'd just leave it to the board. They have been doing a great job picking managers without us lot recently.
  21. If the matters of one country is no concern of anyone in any other country.............Why are US troops so well traveled? Oh, and sanctions anyone? Of course, it was a hypothetical question, and I fully understand that the same applies to the UK. It's just too easy, like smacking a kid in the gob simply because he has a gob designed specifically for smacking. I appreciate relative freedom as much as the next guy, but Americans such as George seem to think that the American version is the only one worth having. There is a tentative balancing act in any country's freedoms between liberty and security. Regarding that arrest for possessing a toy gun altered to look like a real firearm? Here, in Ohio, I can be arrested, charged and sentenced for possession of cigarette papers if I have no tobacco to prove they are not drug related. I repeat. In the land of the free, I can be arrested for having cigarette papers. We all have some dumb laws knocking around. The USA and the UK are no exceptions.
  22. The best thing about America is it's size. It means that there are 917 miles between myself and St George.
  23. What would be the point in having eyes if we don't see everything put before them? What would be the point of having the ability to process these images if they were meaningless to us? Pictures of starving victims in Nazi concentration camps still resonate in the minds of many people today, and with good reason. Why would it be any different that people today are suffering greatly due to other causes? Show it all. Show everything. It's what we have eyes for. What we do with that information is another thing altogether.
  24. Cheer everyone until you can't cheer any more, even the less talented players. If they actually deliberately don't play to their full potential, or kick the crap out of a spectator in the disabled section, then boo them remorselessly. Sometimes people make supporting a team way too complicated.
  25. I also have it on good authority having just read Monk's post.
