I was wondering what happened to them too!! They made last season a lot more interesting!

I have learned over time that there is no point in being too aggressive here. For some time now, I have had a bit of a beef with the trolls on this forum. A couple of years ago I started a thread about it that went fairly epic. It resulted, for some reason in Glasgow being forced to change his user name, and he was not even a problem! Since then plenty of people are being banned, coming back under a new user name and carrying on the same old crap. For this reason I have become very disenchanted with some aspects of this forum. I have learned that it is pointless to air those views here, but am at liberty to discuss them an a totally separate forum. There is nothing sinister or underhanded about it. The problems on here are rarely addressed, so I stay out of the politics here these days. If I want to vent my ire about it on another forum, then that is my choice.

I posted this on Sotonians a few minutes ago. "Amnesty for everyone as far as I would have it. We might see a different person in a new environment. I seriously doubt that, but what the hell. There is nothing to be gained by being exclusive of anyone wanting to give us a try." Does that sound like I really have a problem with "infiltration"

It's just another site for Saints fans to while away spare time. I really don't get why a select few on here have their knickers in a twist.

Most have not defected at all, simply using two forums. I imagine that the only forum here to be particularly affected will be TMS, otherwise, any change will be alsmost un-noticable IMO apart from the epic Bearsy match write ups. On the plus side, you guys won't have to look at my avatar when my fiver runs out. Edit: I just read this thread back and noticed that my explanations and assessment of my own situation worsened in accordance to the amount of bourbon I had consumed. Oh well!

True? Untrue? Who knows. The point is, that this forum has completely gone to pot with all the bannings and subsequent new identities. It has become a joke. I like to come here to catch up on saints news and all that, but the standard of the posters is total crap, and I have to be very selective on who I read. This site has almost zero credibility for Saint's knowledge, which is reliant on about 3 posters. Now that the laughs have jumped ship, there is nothing left but vitriol.

Honestly guys, it's simply another forum. Take a look, if you don't like it then don't join. It's really that simple.

Quite possibly. However, we really need to wait until the next season starts to see how the footy talk stacks up. I will be keeping an eye out on here as I am a Saints fan, and value the input of a couple of well renowned posters during the closed season that have the scoop and inside knowledge of the latest signings. For the rest I will be on the other site. I don't want to limit my options, and why would I?

Sometimes, people use more than just one pub. The same can be said for web sites. The fact that there is another site out there for Saints fans is really no big deal for anyone.

I just don't get all these posts knocking the OP for simply getting a reality check. The past few years have been an amazing rise in our fortunes. It has become easy to become a little deluded about the prospects of our team, and seeing the Euro final was simply a reminder of how far we would have to go to realise the completion of any daydreams we may have. Sometimes, we need our dreams to be reigned in a little, and that's all the OP was talking about really. So many people on here want to bash others simply for the sake of it without even taking a moment to consider their point of view and the reason for saying what they do.
