Indeed there is a total lack of balance even with Zokora playing. I don't rate him at all either really. They shouldn't have wasted 15m on Bentley, should have kept Malbranque and they should have signed Arshavin with the Berbatov money and any left over money spent on a DM, someone like Kompany at City would be ideal.
-
We should never have got rid of Higgy, terrible decision.
-
Sure losing Keane and Berbatov was bad for them, but they let Malbranque and Chimbonda go and neither of those two wanted to leave. Those two would have made a massive difference today, they didn't even try to replace Malbranque so they just have a ridiculously un blanced midfield and no one who can play left wing well. They need a midfielder who can actually tackle, you're never going to win with a midfield of Bentley, Jenas, Modric and Lennon - no balance at just four fancy dan creative players.

Insua and Taylor pls.

Joe the plumber just wants to live the America dream. Poor Joe.

I just couldn't bring myself to put down a loss for Southampton, what would be the point in going If i was that negative, unfortuantly I think a draw is the best we can hope for.

Hopefully Cole will miss a couple of Chelsea games and Bridge can keep his place. No doubt that Cole and Terry will be fine for the next game though. . .

Watford are **** and we should beat them. But they always seem to beat us. 1-1, I think.

It seems most people are only interested in England when we're losing. I don't know why everyone on here likes to have a good moan about the England side. Rooney had a good game and we won against a decent team away with both Gerrard and Lampard playing well together. I guess they're thinking about something new to moan about.

Capello is a genius. I really like managers who can properly change a game at half time, there aren't many around who can do it but Capello has to be one of the very best.
-
I'd take a draw here tbh, this Belarus lot are a decent outfit. Are whole midfield has been dire so far, none of them can string a pass together. Not many options on the bench though, if either Hargreaves or Carrick where fit i'd chuck one or both of them on.

That and Lampard has been the stand out player in the premiership this season.
-
Same but with Gerrard on the left imo. I'd love it if he is on the bench though, hopefully it would force the dirty scouse cheat to retire from international football.
-
Didn't they go to West Ham instead?
-
Also Lowe should get on the phone to Chelsea to see if Mancienne needs some game time on loan, he's looked superb.
-
If Cardiff only got 5m for Ramsey I can't see us getting that sort of money for Lallana. Ramset has been a class above anyone on the pitch.
-
The midfield three have been totally shocking so far apart from Muamba, if they play like this every game he will be in there in no time.
-
Probably the best out there, just a shame he's a bit of a knob.
-
Interesting that they play 4-5-1, Lallana could really fit in well just behind Agbonlahor with Noble and Cattermole doing the defensive work.
-
Adams on the bench tonight, lets hope one of the forwards or wingers gets a slight injury so he comes on.

What a load of absolute ********, I wish the takeover rumours would just dissapear. There is no mega wealthy knight in shining armour that's going to come along buy Southampton and lead us to the Premierleague. Not a chance.

"Rafa Benitez Gods gift 2 Football" They can't honestly believe that?

What more can they do other than play well together? The only problem with Lampard and Gerrard playing central midfield together is that they need a holding player there with them. SGE played 4-4-2 with them both in the middle and it didn't work, Capello obviously realises you need someone like Barry in there. In a 4-5-1 they will work well together, then you just have a problem finding a spot for Rooney. Anyone my point wasn't so much about wether they can work together just that someone called Capello gutless for trying to fit them both into a side together.
