Fair enough, similar to Lallana then? Will be interesting to see how he plays when he's fully fit, hopefully he will have a decent understanding with Schneiderlin.

I forgot all about Gasmi, if he's a decent player then we will hopefully start picking up more points. Hopefully he's a decent right winger.

They wanted Arshavin but Levy didn't want to spend the money, nothing to with Comolli there. He didn't have much of a say with Keane or Berba either, both went for massive money - Comollis problem was not replacing them properly. Replacing Berba and Keane with Pavulychenko (knackered after a full russian season and no break) and Campbell (on loan at Hull last season) was never going to work. His biggest mistake IMO was not replacing Chimbonda (no replacement full back at all) and Malbranque (no left winger).

Glad to see John, Perry and Skacel in the side. Should give us a bit more experience up top and we might be able to get the balance right. If we could get Euell and Schneiderlin in there somewhere then it's close to our best side imo. Maybe Holmes as well with Skacel going to LB.

With Lallana or Surman on the right? could work I guess.

No Dave McGoldrick shocker! Good decisions from Jan imo, I guess BWP is the choice at right wing, can't do much worse than DMG, I would have preffered Thomson.

Depending on fitness I'd probable go with something like: Davis Mills Perry Lancashire Cork Surman Schneiderlin Wotton Lallana John McGoldrick Subs: Bart, Gillett, James, Smith, Pekhart The 4-2-3-1 formation isn't working so well at the moment and since Holmes' got injured it hasn't worked at all so a 4-4-2 needs to be tried imo.

Would be in a far better position that we are atm. It's a bull**** excuse that it came down to money as well, even if he was on a big wage we should have kept him on and gone without Schneiderlin or one of the other transfers we bought in. Obviously It was more to do with Lowe wanting his own men in and probably didn't have much to do with the financial side of things. We wouldn't be playing the exciting football we're playing at the moment but we would be organised, hard to beat and playing to our strengths which we don't seem to be doing at all at the moment.

No doubt that we have missed Holmes and Schneiderlin. Hopefully once Morgan is back we can move Cork back to right back and hopefully have a bit of a stronger back four and a bit more creativity in the middle.

I would hope most of the loans have an option to extend the loan for the rest of the season. The only one who I'd be worried about losing is Cork, Smith looked quite good but then once Holmes is back he probably won't be needed. Can't really comment on Gasmi without seeing him play. Pekhart and Robertson haven't really impressed me much so far.

Of course we would survive, the league is terrible.

Perry may not be the best defender in the world but he's easily been our best defender this season. I imagine Pearson was involved in the Holmes signing as well, he was great for us before his injury at QPR. Schneiderlin looks like he could be a great signing but I very much doubt Poortvliet had much say in that transfer, sounded more like Lowe signed him after Prosts reccomendation.

They've got some seriously good players there, it's just the new manager or Ramos if he's given time needs to strike a balance and find his best team. Maybe it's time for Huddlestone to come in and anchor the midfield.
